Trade Rumors Swirl, Lloyd to Patriots?

Nope.
LaCanfora tweeted that Lloyd's going to St. Louis.
"Brandon Lloyd is being dealt to the Rams. More to come on NFL.com and NFL Network"

98.5's update just said that Lloyd is reportedly heading to the Rams.

NFL Network is reporting that Lloyd has been traded to the Rams.

Well, that's that, I guess. On to the next rumor.

Josh must have pushed like heck for it looking to save his coordinator's job or be in position to snag Haley's HC gig in KC next season...

i still think it was very telling that we explored the trade. Ocho provides nothing (yet) and he is in the way of Price to move up (my opinion).

maybe BB just linked us to Lloyd to send a message to Ocho. Either way, Ocho needs to fugure out the playbook very soon.

It's a good addition for the Rams, but it comes too late to save their season. I can only guess that this was made to try to help Bradford continue his progression for next year. Without Amendola, the Rams receiving corps has been terrible. Lloyd might walk right into the WR1 spot as early as this upcoming week against Dallas.

Not to be facetious, but I think it was as much about 2012 and beyond as it was about this year.

After all, I'd put no better than a 50-50 chance on Branch being back next year.

no doubt...could be the case.

Agreed. I believe Welker and Branch will be over 30 and FAs next year.

We don't know if Lloyd would have been the right choice, but acquiring him would have made sense on a number of fronts.

There's no reason why getting Lloyd means we can't develop Edelperson and Price, but having another solid option for TFB, instead of the invisible man, gives us a better chance of a SB now.

Again disagree i think price for example or even slater have gone as much they can with out playing time.

Wes
Deion
Hernandez
gronk

in from the the chart they are stuck taking the next step with no real play time.
