Would he trade Hoyer or Mallet? Which one? How much for Hoyer? How much for Mallet?

I don't think he trades either of them because right now depth at QB is a good thing to have. What if Brady goes down? That would be it for the Pats if there wasn't anyone good to replace him. If either of them were to be traded it would probably be Hoyer but I'm sure he wouldn't let go of Hoyer for anything less than a 2nd round draft pick.

I'm sure at the moment he'd like a 1st for Hoyer, but who would do that?

Mallett was just drafted in the 3rd round, so it would obviously have to be more than a 3rd.

BB would ask for more than anyone would give at this point....I'm gonna stop trying to act like I know what's going through that man's head though.

I don't think Shanahan would want to trade for a back up a third of the way thru the season. How would that help him win this year?

Grossman played ok this season. One game is not enough to make Shanahan make a desperation move. I would be surprised if he traded for a QB. I would be less surprised if the Raiders trade for a QB though.

It would be a mistake to trade Mallet to the Skins before we play them. Why help them get a win?

This a conversation that *may* happen in a year or two but not right now.

Hoyer's not available and Mallet didn't do anything particularly impressive in the exhibition season, so it's not likely that he's going to bring back sufficient value to make the trade worthwhile.

The only guy i'd trade for before the deadline is Jared Allen.

My thoughts exactly. Even though i'm surprised, I have to admit Grossman played ok so far.

I wouldn't be quite that hard on Mallet - for a kid with a very limited rookie offseason he showed some flashes of major talent in a shortened pre-season.

The bottom line is that Mallet needs a low pressure environment to develop those flashes into real talent - trading him to any team in need of a QB right now is not in his best interests.

You're kidding, I'm sure. Mallett would not win the Skins a game this year, certainly not against the Pats.

I don't buy it, that the Skins would trade for a young QB. Indy, however... maybe Indy.

Indy has their sights set on LUCK!
