1.) Tedy Bruschi truly got what he was looking for: A game where Brady plays less than stellar and the defense steps up and keeps the team in the game and is the main reason the Pats' win.
2.) Albert Haynesworth was a beast today. He was taking up blockers left and right. He didn't show up much in the stats column, but he was a force. BTW, anyone else notice he must have dropped 30-40 lbs since the start of the season. Those few weeks off might have been the best thing for his conditioning.
3.) Brandon Spikes looks to return to pre-suspension form. He was a definite force in the running game. Should have had a sack on that one play, but was being held.
4.) Brady may have been very human today, but he really showed he can be as clutch as ever.
5.) Tackling is a problem at times, but it certainly didn't kill the Pats today.
6.) Even though the Cowboys did stop the Pats (although some of it was self inflicted), the Pats still have too many weapons for opposing defenses. You can only hope to contain the offense for as long as possible, but you cannot shut it down.
7.) Carter showed today the guy we were hoping for. He provided a legitimate and fairly consistent pass rush from the outside. He and others need to bring it more, but it was a significant upgrade.

YOU are such an asset as a poster here, Rob...thanx for that intelligent breakdown.

I am blushing, but I really didn't think what I wrote was that profound. I guess I am even more awesome than I thought. Just what this board needs: We with an even bigger head than I already have.

I don't want to gush, but it was awesome to see Haynesworth out there today. I truly hope this is just the initial showing of how dominant he can (and will!) be for the remainder of the season.

Carter was just fantastic today. Most dominant player on the defense today. Both in the pass rush and in the run.

If he can continue to get pressure on the QB like he did today, it changes everything for our defense.

Okay - I am ready (I think) to eat crow about AH (interesting, those initials).

well, truth be told, I had just returned from the genius party at JI and was decompressing after reading a spate of nonsensical hate filled diatribes by Rage Rage and Simple Gump3...your post was like a hit of pure oxygen to a breath starved survivor of a crash on Planet Greenmoron.

Imagery...I think I may be a little warped..imagine being stranded on an alien planet where every inhabitant is an amorphous blob of misfiring neurons, leaking industrial strength, highly acidic moron protoplasm all over the landscape...and the only book on the planet is a dog-eared ,timeworn copy of "I, Nobot"...shudders...

I hope you joined in their weekly "The refs gave the Pats the game" thread. It is embarrassing that they have the same thread every week and they believe it.

one thing this offense needs is someone to stretch the field and like it is defnitly not ocho... but this could be the last we see ocho in a pats uniform...

while watching the game I was gettiing pissed with Brady and the offense. As the game was playing out I realized how good Brady's throws have to be in comparison to other QB's. He must have the smallest windows to throw in of anybody in the league. We saw cowboy receivers with nobody within five yards of them while making catches. We need a receiver who can acheive separation on the outside! Defense led us on this one.

Another thing I forgot to mention. Dez Bryant was shut out in the second half. He really killed the Pats on the Cowboys' one TD drive. The Pats made the proper adjustments to him and shut him out the rest of the way.

The best thread on there right now is the one started by their dear leader, a piece of crap scumbag if ever there was one. Perhaps the biggest troll in the history of this board before he went 'corporate' and started JI and gets to let Rex lick his toes now.

Anyway, any long time member here can surely appreciate the irony of the SOOTHSAYER posting a thread warning bans for personal attacks.

It fits right in with their sudden obsession with the refs. They really have no clue how moronic they sound.

Those dummies think they are going to the SB every year, but this time Rex and the media pumped them up so much that they really started to believe it.

The only reason I didn't tell Sooth to go **** himself is that I want to be there while the Titanic sinks. This will be a truly memorable meltdown.

i just he disappears... the one play on the goal line was baffling that the cowboys didnt use him more on fade routes..

Still my number 1 worry about this team. It certainly could have killed the Pats because the Cowboys 2 biggest plays should have been 5 yard gains that went for over 30 because of piss poor tackling.

Do you guys think McCourty played well? I didn't see him get beat a lot, thought he wasn't outrageously bad.

Branch came up big today as the Cows D focused on WWW.
Another solid clutch performance from Law Firm. Remind me, who is the IDIOT posting threads about how mediocre BJGE is? Better than Antowain Smith the guy we won the 1st 2 SBs with.

I'm far more worried about the Pats penchant for turning the ball over. Brady has now doubled his last years INT totals with 10 games to go. Lots of penalties too. Tackling is important for sure but...turnovers and penalties, as they say.

He had an up and down game. He made some bad mistakes (he got blamed for that big yards after the catch play by Dez Bryant, but it was more Chung's fault), but he also shutdown his side of the field a lot. The problem is that people only notice the bad plays.
