What does the Jets final regular season record know about the Pats defense though? Oh you said 7 of 9, not 7 and 9. :D

The D is coming together. If this is a sign of things to come, then the D will be downright beastly down the stretch.

Man is she hot !!!!

For as much as we bash the defense and i have too,you have to give them their props the past 2 games..

In 2 weeks they may give up 400 yards and lose and the bashing will resume but lets be fairthe defense kept them in the game today..

Good call, Brother Grid, both on the defense and on the pic;)

The biggest issue with the defense, the inconsistency, has been declining, with some more time and hopefully some better groceries, they'll be playoff ready.

This was such a tough battle. These are the games that champions find ways to win and that exactly what they did. Give these guys some serious credit.

I really think it will be.

I went on record, before the season began, as predicting that this D, by the end of the season, will be playing at a level to eclipse that of our recent Champiohship Glory...and I've seen very little to persuade me that it won't be.

Im still not overjoyed with the defense ....yet. As the coach says, its still a long way too go and always room for improvement. Lets start with tackling first.....I'll give em a C+ today.

They were much more stout than I figured they'd be... Work in progress.

We need more games like the Dallas game. It builds toughness and character (sorry to sound cliche). Come playoff time when every game resembles the Dallas game, our young D will know how to handle it better than they have in recent years.

Thanks, mon. :D

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Mad Bill uses Septembers like extended Training Camps, with an almost cavalier disregard for wins and losses...But the sacrifices entailed have been known to reap rich rewards...come December and January.

The defense has certainly improved but it is not and will not be a Ravens type defense,at least this year.

The best realistic hope to me would be a mid pack defense (14th-18th) by January.

The Safety position is most impressive and Ihegdibo has played great lately.

I have seen the improvement coupled with more creative Defensive play calling. This, along with the goal line and red area improvement, should prove interesting down the stretch.

BTW, how does she get into that outfit?

No offense, but do you say anything positive? This defense on how it progressing could be a top third defense. It won't be an elite defense, but it doesn't need to be. Besides, there is only one team playing dominant defense most weeks and it is Baltimore.

Indeed, Sir.

And I might add: It displays Toughness and Character.

Haynesworth and Spikes have been the guys who have impressed me the most, as of late. But overall, I agree. The defense played well today, and hopefully they can keep building and improving as the season progresses.

Yes, indeed.

The BEASTLINESS of HaynesWorth taking on half the O line at ONCE...CANNOT be overstated!! :rocker:
