I think watching the game today, it was obvious that the patriots could use another big play target and a deep threat...especially when defenses controlled

ive been rooting for ocho and hoping he would breakout...but 6games into the season and he cant find his way onto the field...im starting to think he will never be a factor for this team...the pats might feel the same as they expressed interest in brandon loyd

IF he's willing to be a roleplayer and not the focal point of the offense, I think he could help put us over the top in terms of scoring against good defenses.

as good as they are, right now our only deep threats are TE hernandez and welker

I just can't see Moss's head being in the right place to be of any benefit to the Pats or any team for that matter.

:deadhorse: ...

I think the pats need to reexamine the Brandon lloyd possibility.

I love(d) Chad Johnson. Almost called myself a kinda Bengals fan because of him and Palmer. He just isn't the answer. He's had time, and even in moments that are designed for him he fails.

We may not need a Calvin Johnson, but we need somebody who can drag a guy or two downfield.

How did I know the Moss threads would start the first time the offense doesn't score 30 points? Give it a rest.

I'm thinking now is the time to bring Moss back in. With the bye week coming up it'll give Moss time to get back into the groove of things. I know that there's mixed opinions on rather bringing Moss back is a good idea or not and I'm fine if people disagree with me. I just feel that Moss this time around will know that he's going to be used in specific roles and that this is his real last chance in the league. So bring him back.

But ultimately Moss or no Moss....

LETS GO PATS!!!

exactly, moss would at least drag 2 defenders down the field with him...it would open up our TE's alot more down the middle

It has nothing to do with not scoring 30 points.

Everyone here is so quick to anoint TFB as the GOAT, but what do you think is happening when he gets to stand in a clean pocket for 5 seconds and can't find anybody?

It's either he really isn't the best and can't hit a small window, or our guys aren't getting open. Every recent loss since the SB has looked the same away. Jam the WRs, clog the intermediate passing lanes, and you kill the offense. We are in desperate need of someone who can get open against good corners and catch a ball down field consistently.

First Moss would have to want to come back......

nope, might as well trade for Eddie Royal...he's a deep threat no?

theres a reason Belichick made the trade for Ochocinco...he clearly thinks that we need another elite reciever who can make big plays...and guys like brandon tate werent cutting it..

but 6 weeks in, im not sure Ocho is going to catch on...moss knows the offense and should be able to come in and produce right away....id throw an offer at him cheap one year...and we save a draft pick not having to throw one at another team

Just to be clear, I am not in support of Moss returning.

I just think the Pats should make a play for a decent WR. Someone who isn't a gamble like Ocho.

Of course I say bring him in if he's still wanting to play. Why the heck wouldn't the Pats consider that, especially considering there were rumors that they were interested in Lloyd. The guy knows the system, is comfortable with Brady, and realizes the error of his ways after he got himself booted out of here. He's been yearning to come back ever since and I say they should at least consider it.

I love the new offense. I really do. However, our small receivers have proven they can't handle big, physical corners who are willing to come to the line and beat them up. Brady had all day to throw on some of the plays today, but there was nobody to throw it to because the receivers got no separation. That seems to be the blueprint, but Randy would negate that somewhat. We don't need him to be '07 Randy. We just need him to give some threat of a deep pass every now and again to keep defenses honest.

I don't think that would be an issue! I think he regrets acting like a jackass here more than anything and misses it here so much.

Exactly! There is no way we can beat the Packers with the current group of WR/TE. They need an explosive player who can stretch the defense.

Why can't we just give Taylor Price one chance?

Do I want him back?

Only if he can do this well....

I think what the Pat's need to do is not turn the ball over four times a game.

I seriously doubt that Belichick expected Ochocinco to be an elite WR. I can almost guarantee you that if the Pats brought Moss back, the only elite WR they would still have is Welker.

Moss sucked last year here, in Minnesota, and in Tennessee. The guy is done. Let's move on. Rather trade for Brandon Lloyd than bring back Moss.
