The Depredation...Continues.

Right now we're looking at 6 Picks, of course, having robbed New Orleans of their 1st Rounder, having lifted Oakland's 2nd Rounder, and having tossed our 5th, 6th, and 7th rounders in various trades.

I see New Orleans as a resurgent force, this year, a Top 3 NFC team, so I'm going to start out by estimating their 1st Rounder as #28.

Oakland, on the other hand, I see as poised for a nice fall. New coach. Insane owner. Horrible organization. I'm starting my estimate for them at #40.

Grid's Opening Projection

#28 ~ Via New Orleans
#32 ~ Super Bowl Victory #4
#40 ~ Via Oakland
#64 ~ Super Bowl Victory #4
#96 ~ Super Bowl Victory #4
#128 ~ Super Bowl Victory #4

Great start.

Yes, I see it as entirely possible that, rather than let Stomper float away, a year hence, we franchise him, this coming Winter. If we do so, there's a strong possibility that we end up doing one hell of a lot better than some pathetic 2013 Supplemental Pick: There is every reason to speculate ~ despite all the recent bad pub, pigpiling on top of 4 years of it ~ that Stomper might be about to produce a Career Year...at which point his Trade Value in a persistently weak Free Safety Market would astonish many people.

I love it, both calling him "Stomper" and getting much value for him through the franchise tag. Depending on how things go this year perhaps Dowling can be moved to FS and we pick up Chase "MINEfield" next year as a Corner, though I still want Jason McCourty on board.

I'm hoping the first 2 picks will be Center and safety. Not best available, best at the position in the whole draft type of players. Even if it means trading up with later picks to do so. Ofcourse this mentality could change with injuries or other needs, but right now I would think those are the most pressing positions for the 12' draft.

Stomper, the guy BB just cut for no compensation, not even a supplementary pick. And also a player in a league weak at S that no one wanted to trade for?

Agreed, I don't know why we couldn't have gotten a conditional 2013 pick for him.

I do not think there was a huge market for trades this year.

I am glad to see BB cleaning out some of the trash from the secondary. Not sure why he kept Butler, unless Butler has grown up a ton since last season's end.

I just took a peek at the Saints schedule figuring that maybe they falter a little and don't make the playoffs, NO CHANCE...

Their non conference opponents are the NFC Norris and the AFC South!

I think that they will lose Thurs in GB, but other than that

I can't see how they finish any worse than 11-5, and that is with losing Opening Night.

If the season ended today, we'd have the #1 Pick in the Draft!! WOOOT!! :rocker:

Looks like Great Blue's dropped the ball, and The Huddle is On The Job...

...in the 1st two Rounds.

Not this year brother Grid, not this year. No Binkies for me. I'm not investing all that energy and emotion only to be CRUSHED on draft day. I want to avoid banging my head on the desk when BB takes a TE or a fragile DB instead of a DE or an OLB. I Still bare the Scars form last April

Honestly, man, I don't blame you a BIT.

Bill The Mad is The Greatest in ALL The Land...

But, my GOD, does he perpetrate occasional acts of rank STUPIDITY. :ugh:

The Labor Day Massacre hit me hard: Gutting our roster of Will Yeatman, Lee "The Closer" Smith, Tom Austin ~ "A Man BARELY Alive", and "Slashing" Steve Maneri was a kick in the BALLS that I haven't quite fully recovered from.

The SLUGS that he kept in FAVOR of those magnificent Beasts...OY. :ugh:

FULL Truth be told: It smacked of COWARDICE...and testicular RETRACTION.

Even so...He IS The Greatest in ALL The Land.

And I will GRATEFULLY ride that Horse ~ GRATEFULLY ~ until it DROPS.

...Or until it lopes into the SunSet.

Does he have any slugs on offense not named Ochosucko?

Waters is a veteran retread, but unlike the vast numbers of retreads on defense, Waters has excelled. His pass blocking is weak, but can he ever road grade. In my mind Waters is a solid addition and a perfect fit on an O line with a rookie ROT.

I think if Price had had the benefit of offseason passing camps, maybe he would be more comfortable running option routes in year two (remember the offense at Miami Ohio, was not a sophisticated passing offense). Because Price is not quite up to speed on the nuances of option route running, BB is forced to keep Ochosucko on the roster.

Are you kidding??

Keeping Wendell instead of Austin??

Cutting Yeatman and then replacing him with Gronk's Bro??

I love Chad, but keeping an extra receiver instead of Maneri??

Next question.

Again: Mad Bill is The Greatest in ALL the Land.

There's no need to pretend he's perfect.

Did anyone call Waters a slug?? THANK you.

Lee Smith - Active three games, no stats.
Will Yeatman - Has yet to play for an 0-4 team.
Thomas Austin - Not active.
Steve Maneri - Another non active.

Looks like the only one with idiotic moments here is you. It doesn't help that you're delusional as all hell too.

From my counting, you've had exactly 1700 documented idiotic moments, here...and counting. ;)

You DO realize that we're talking about developmental players...right?? :bricks:

As someone who is clearly developmentally disabled, you ought be more sympathetic.

It's just a SMIDGE too early to declare victory or defeat on those moves, thanks...But I wouldn't expect someone such as yourself, who boasts the attention span and diagnostic skills of a gold fish...to grasp that concept.

If it was during the 2000 season he'd probably be pissed that the team was carrying that skinny QB from Michigan who was sitting on the bench.

True Story!! :lol2:

At this point, I'll be "merging" this Thread with the Mock Draft Thread.
