I implore EVERYONE to spread this story in as many ways as possible. This Jets favoring double standard MUST end!

Guys, we have to do our part to ensure anyone and everyone sees this story. Even if nothing comes of it.

Florio linked to an explanation, seems to be within league rules (it was for a team-affiliated show and the videographer had the required lime-green vest).

That to me just means you could technically have someone in a green vest filming the game from field-level then sync up all the audibles etc picked up on the mics the C/G wears now and voila...you have a teams defensive calls.

Yeah - seems to be an update from the Jetsies...I still think it's ridiculous after all that happened with Spygate that this is condidered "ok"...WTF!

UPDATE 10:02 a.m. ET: The Jets have explained the presence of the man with the camera. Under certain circumstances, the practice is permitted. But it’s amazing that NFL coaches are fine with team employees shooting video and then relying on the honor system to ensure that the video won’t be used for any improper purpose.

I see it as a non story at this point. Everything appears above board.

Didn't take long to sweep this under the rug by the Jests organization....

Filming is filming....

Nothing to see here...move along....

Not exactly, which is why the CBS guys don't get fined.

But the CBS guys don't specifically stand there filming just the Patriots sideline ;)

Although Nantz should be fined because for some bizarre reason he decided to relay on the "Alabama" audible by Brady on the Branch TD.

Just to be clear, the difference between a half million dollar fine/loss of a first round pick, and total indifference is...

... a lime-green vest?

And the CBS guys don't work, specifically, for either team. Unlike the man in the photo who CLEARLY has Jets Credentialsl...

Was just going to post something similar.

So, 4 years ago, all the Patriots needed was a vest and a cover story of filming for the Patriots All Access and they would have been within the rules.

The big problem is, look at Schitty.. oops I mean Schotty, he's clearly looking in the direction of the play and he is engaged, so his offense is on the field and the camera is clearly pointed across the field.

I guess that I'm skeptical, but I don't believe that explanation. I want proof that the filming is for this so called program. I guess it pays to have a former employee running the league.

The rule allows team-affiliated personnel to be on the field if shooting a team-affiliated show. I don't care if you don't like it, it's allowed.

Now, if it turns out they're doing something unsavory with that footage, then we've got a scandal. But the Patriots were busted on a technicality, and the Jets seem to be technically within the rules, so nothing to see here.

No, they aren't allowed to film defensive signals. I don't think anyone would believe that was for Patriots All Access.
