If you have the game taped - - go to the 3rd quarter, the Branch TD play.

At 13:07 on the game clock, Brady vociferously yells and gestures at Welker to come in closer "Hey, tighter, TIGHTER!!!!" Then he looks forward, starts calling signals, looks over to Welker again at 12:59 and yells in a frustrated voice "Tighter, I SAID TIGHTER!!!!!!!!!"

As it happens, he was moving Welker inside of Branch who then went wide to the EZ. Welker, who was now in the perfect spot, throws the crucial block on the delay timing-blitze Bart Scott and absolutely stones him cold.

Perfect orchestration and leadership by Brady. Simply brilliant.

I am sure you did not mean it but the connotations in this post are just too salacious.

Yow, now that you point it out.......!!!! :D

Hopefully, that doesn't take away from the subject of the actual audible.

i didnt catch that one, but i caught another one (maybe same one?)

Brady was yelling, and he was saying numbers like 67 blah 77 blah...

im not sure if the blah's were numbers or words, but at the time i got the impression that he was going along the whole offensive line, and telling each guy who he was supposed to block...

ive never seen anything like it, it was incredible...if he was the one who put specific assignments on each O-lineman during the game, that is incredibly amazing

Im still trying to figure out what it meant when he would scream "alabama"...is that the new "omaha" ?

You can also hear some of it on the NFL Fantasy video of the TD, which starts at 13:14.

However, clearly this must be Peyton Manning wearing a TFB costume. Everybody's always telling us that only Peyton can direct his offense like this, so there's no way that can actually be #12 out there.

the best part of that audible is when you look at the hand gesture brady makes to branch. He twirls his finger around in the shape of the route (i'm 99% sure) then calls welker in. Welker comes in and blocks, Branch runs the route brady just signals.. TD.

EDIT: Sorry i was wrong here just looked at it again and he was signaling to come in

There was another one that was clearly audible too. I think this is how it went: "57's the Mike. 66 and 61 protection". Then said the name of a state that I can't remember now and hiked the ball. Gives you a good idea of how much control Brady has over the offense if you're not already familiar.

How do they ever pull this off on the road with all the crowd noise?! Pretty amazing...

"Alabama. ALABAMA"

Brought a tear to this jaded old lynyrd skynyrd fan.

61 and 66 protection are pass blocking scheme calls. He was id'ing the defense, and calling how the o-line would block and who would stay in. I also heard him make a few calls at the LOS for blitz pickup on the inside of the line. He's taken over Koppen's mental duties at center with some of the line calls.

Yeah that was sweet. I played it over 3 or 4 times while watching live.

I'm pretty sure one of his audibles was OBAMA ....

(fill in your own remark on what it means) :D

Most impressive was Welker wiping out Scott.

I was very impressed listening to TFB's calls at the line, especially calling in Welker on that play.

When he called out "ALABAMA!" it brought a smile to my face.

Roll Tide!

i'm remember this play really well, it was great.

does anyone have a video? i'd love to see the block.

Combined Omaha and Alabama ??? :bricks:
