From Rotoworld;

Patriots waived OG Thomas Welch.

Signed nine days ago, Welch worked as a sixth offensive lineman in jumbo packages against the Jets. Welch has practice squad eligibility remaining.

Thonas good luck with your future endeavors as a T station turnstile. Boy, for the way he almost got Brady killed yesterday, I figured they would have taken him out in back of the stadium and shot him.

I am quite surprised they let him back into the dressing room at all, he should have been cut right there on the field.

Hopefully this is good news re: Vollmer.

Well, that may explain why Brady sounded like he was in better spirits this AM than postgame...

Welch was extremely bad.. I'd rather bring back Quinn Ojinaaka than have Welch out there anymore

*decides to take Sivy out back and treat him the way that Welch should have been treated yesterday after the game....:bricks: :violent: :spygate:*

Good luck, Thomas Welch. We hardly knew ye.

If you speak a little Spanish, maybe you could get a job in Spain as the world's largest matador. Vaya con Dios, Thomas.

oh lighten up

Damn......... The Welch era is over already.

Wonder who gets a spot on the 53 ?

Vollmer back healthy will be nice...more solid depth along the OL.....

Short term? Who knows.. Long term, the Pats have 3 - 4 roster spaces they need to open up for Cannon, Deaderick, Brace, and Faulk.

I do not agree with this...you just wait...all of you...Welch is a versatile O lineman who can play tight end...he was drafted in the 7th round out of Vanderbilt because of rumors that his fingernails were brittle...otherwise he would have been taken much higher...probably even the first round...his senior year he was player of the week for Vandy versus Western Kentucky.Through first half of the 2009 season, he consistently earned "winning" blocking grades by coaches despite lack of overall production by offensive unit... Suffered ankle injury at South Carolina and was forced to sideline for encounter against Florida... Tried to play with injury against Kentucky and Tennessee, but missed much of both games.

We got a STEAL....Welch has unlimited UPSIDE and his ceiling is almost limitless...so all of you...stop talking out of your as$es.

Faithfully submitted, this 10th day of October, 2011

Joker Joker 19..........:bricks::bricks::bricks::bricks:

what play was this

A play you really don't want to see - the ole play. Westermann beat him badly in the B gap from a 5 technique. Ugly.

JO fried his brain out on the Bay again......You've been told you to wear your hat :eek:

Forgot about Cannon needing a spot...Pats OL could be very very good by next season.....with alot of depth....

They need to make room for Brace if BB decides he deserves a spot....Faulk may be a numbers casualty.....
