Early Week 6 Line: Pats By 9.5

This 9.5 is way too HIGH.

BYE week Dallas we are coming off of a very tough game.

Curious, how are the D-Lines and O-Lines of Dallas?

I know Dallas has a few pass rushing threats, but how is their Run D and Passing D?

Can our O-Line handle their D-Line and how are the Dallas DB's??

Considering what happened the last time we faced a Rob Ryan defense, and with the Cowboys coming off of a bye, 9.5 is a ridiculous line. And this is coming from a guy who confidently took the Pats at -9 this past week, and felt robbed to only end up with a push.

All of that said, watch us beat them by 3 touchdowns. Jenkins should find a way to get injured sometime in the first quarter, and from there on out it will be open season on Scandrick and Ball.

Dallas' o-line is pathetically bad. Oddly enough, they actually held up really well for most of the Lions game, but other than that it's been pretty atrocious. Free is pretty good over at LT, but the rest of the line is short on both experience and talent. Tyron Smith was the #9 overall pick and he's playing over at RT, and he's looked like crap.

The Cowboys are coming off a bye and that concerns me. Plus the fact that Wrecks will be helping Rob every way possible.

Didnt Rob Ryan kill us last year with the Browns though? If anything, Rob is helping Rex in every way possible.

See, I don't buy that. I believe that Rob is his own man and that he doesn't rely on his Brother. I think that Rob will look at the All-22 from the Pats/jets game but I don't think he'll get any other information from Rex. Mainly because Rex is such a blowhard..

How are their DB's and DL??? as a whole?

Umm.. Wasn't that game more about the Pats defense not being able to stop Hillis since the guy ran roughshod over them? Neither Jones nor Choice are that caliber of RB. They are closer to scatback types..

That being said, the Cowboys secondary (Newman, Walker, Sensabaugh) is starting to gel..

I don't believe this will be an easy game. The Pats have to shut down Witten and the run to force Romo to beat them. Then force mistakes from Romo.. Which they can do..

I'm far more worried about this game than I was about the Jets game. The Cowboys have a better team both offensively and defensively than the Jets. This is a game the Pats could lose. I think 9.5 is too much. I might have made it 4.

I'm with you Rob. They've had two weeks to get healthy and rested and work on the Pats. I think it will be a tough one, especially if Romo is on. For all his mistakes of late, Romo still has ability and some top-flight receivers. I wish we could get the damn pass-rush in gear.

The Cowboys are an inferior San Diego.

The over/under should be Brady 500 yards and 5 TD's.

I'm not saying Rob will rely on Wrecks, just that Wrecks will go out of his way to help him beat the Pats if he can, even if it's just sharing tendency intel from film breakdowns. The Green Beans certainly will have more of that info on file than the Cowboys.

The Cowboys better than the Jets offensively and defensively? The Jets just beat them 4 weeks ago. The Cowboys were 6-10 last season and have not upgraded that much. They look very dysfunctional and not confident in their leadership - owner, coaches or QB.

You have to feel good about the Patriots at home. The game in the NFC East that creeps me out is at Washington. Mike Shanahan and the 2007 blowout as motivators for the team and fans.

Since this is a thread about the line, I gotta hand it to the line-setters. they started the Patriots out as 9.5 favorites against the Jets and the Pats won by...drumroll...9 points. So with an over under of 53.5 the final score will be Patriots 31 - Cowboys 22 with each team recording a safety.

How would you sleep the night before the game after taking Tony Romo and the points against the Patriots at Gillette?
