Patriots -9.5 over Cowboys O/U 53.5

Given the Patriots 30 PPG avg, I guess they are saying 30- 24 Pats.

The amazing line has the Bills as 3.5 underdogs @NYG, can't understand this.

The Cowboys are coming off a bye and that concerns me. Plus the fact that Wrecks will be helping Rob every way possible.

But BB is smart enough to institute a completely different plan than last week... that is what is nice about this O, there are so many combinations and possibilities..

And, the 'boys are coming off a bye, so that's a real slap on the Romo.

3.5 feels right. Home team usually gets spotted three and the Bills are playing well but have yet to face/beat a quality team on the road.

The Bills as underdogs at the Giants is ridiculous. The Bills will put 30 on the board and the question becomes how will the Giants keep pace? Watch that line move as the week progresses. Giants fans will bet the Bills to cover.

I think Rex has too many problems this week both in his locker room and on the field to spend more than a few late night minutes with his brother.

Are you sure you're talking about the team that hasn't played a quality team on the Road yet this year and that only put 20 points up in Cincinnati?

Rob is probably dusting off his notes from the 2010 CLE/Pats game.

I have a feeling we see 500, 4 or 5 TDs from Brady again this week. Solely because of the Ryan Brother's working together crap.

It also helps that the Dallas secondary is awful.

The Bills are very, very good. Forget for a moment that they lead the AFC East and have wins over the Patriots, Eagles and Raiders, they have a QB completing 66% of his passes, a running back averaging 130 combined yards per game, they are plus 11 in takeaways and scoring 4 TDs per game, one TD usually on a pick or a fumble. Their special teams are good and they have solid kickers. There is nothing not to like with these guys.

The Giants are just down the highway in a stadium they play in ever season, so no mystery in this road game for the Bills.

I did not see anything but highlights from the Cincy-Buffalo game, but they were coming off an emotional win over the Patriots and the Bengals seem better than we thought. I like the Bills a lot at the Giants.

Plus the fact that Wrecks will be helping Rob every way possible.

The last thing Rob needs is advise from his self deprecating circus freak brother on how to beat the Pats. Rob has proven that he is good enough to figure that out on his own. They'll probably have some good snack talk though.

I don't know why people go nuts on this.

The purpose of the line is NOT to predict the outcome but to keep the money even on both sides.

There are fans from every team that bet on their team to win regardless of the spread, becuase they are fans not anylists. NYG have more fans that are going to bet regardless fo the line than Bills fans. The line is set to get the non-fans to bet to counter the NYG fans automatic bets.

Dallas and the Jets are very different teams - almost polar opposites, with the exception of their frequent game time mistakes. The Jets are a defensive team, the Cowboys are an offensive team. The Cowboys cannot do what the Jets do on defense, and can do many things the Jets are incapable of on offense (they are ranked 1st in rushing defense right now, but I expect that is more a factor of who they played thus far and their secondary vulnerabilities than it is to a great defense). The Boys will throw the ball and have good targets, but cannot run the ball well. Somehow the extra week of preparation is not scary with that team given its undisicplined play to date.

As for Buffalo, they proved to be a disciplined team yesterday at home and did not make the mental errors the Iggles did, but I am not putting them in the playoffs just yet. I don't hate the team, and I am glad their long-suffering fans have something to enjoy right now, but they are a young team with a defense comparable to the Pats in terms of production so can ill afford offensive mistakes. The Bills are 3-0 at home, and 1-1 on the road (with the 1 win being the Chiefs, which looked to be in preseason mode or worse against the Bills and then the Lions). The Giants are not great by any stretch of the imagination, but can win a game. I still would pick the Bills, but there are plenty of reasons to believe the Bills will lose this.

The Bills D is really susceptible to the run. Teams haven't exploited it yet.

But when you look at Buffalo's D-backfield, they can stop the pass. Florence, Byrd, McGee, McKelvin, Aaron Williams.

And then the most underrated but best player in their D-backfield, George Wilson. Brady had a great first half against them but in the second half, they had tightened up on so many of Brady's windows.

I'm far more worried about this game than I was about the Jets game. The Cowboys have a better team both offensively and defensively than the Jets. This is a game the Pats could lose. I think 9.5 is too much. I might have made it 4.

I wanted to start a thread about the PUP list but since i dont have enough posts i cant, if somebody start one for me, it'd be great.

There are 3 Pats players on the PUP list: Brace, Deadrick and Faulk.

When does BB have to make a decision on them? I presume it will be after the Cowboys game and not before.

Unfortunately, i think Faulk goes on IR and sticks around as a mentor to the young guys. I don't think there is any space on the roster for another RB. We already have BJGE, Woody, Veeren and Ridley. Veeren is already taking up a spot on the roster and he's not yet ready to play. Both Woody and Ridley can play as the 3rd down back so they dont need a 3rd 3rd down back.

I think Deadrick will be sent to the practise squad. A decent player who was suspended at the end of the last season. I dont see him beating out anybody on the current roster but is trying to put him on the waiver wire first a risk?

Brace i have no idea what to think will happen to him. He has the talent to make the roster and he started to play very well near the end of the season before he got an elbow injury and a local talent too. But he barely made camp his first season and his second camp he couldnt make it. I think its a toss up whether he will be released or put on the active roster.

Cowboys coming off a bye against the worst D in the league. I could see Romo shredding our secondary this week. Isn't Miles Austin back as well? It's gonna be tough with all those weapons on offense.

It is after weeks six. One or two of those guys could be activated by the game week 8 after the bye. I wouldn't bet on it though.

The problem with the Boys is their secondary is awful. Ware is great, but the rest of that defense is not. They are clocking 25 ppg with teams that are not offensive juggernauts.

Romo is like Bledsoe at his worst with his decisionmaking, and you know how BB could find his tendencies and exploit them. The Dallas offense can be very good, but can it be good for 60 minutes?

This is the type of win that could turn the Boys season around - which is exactly why I expect Romo to choke. I expect it will be nervewracking, but I would be surprised if Big D could come into New England and win with its undisciplined play. With that said, this could be a 1 point game or a 21 point game, depending on which Dallas team shows up that day.
