Apparent;y Gronk had the stomach flu today and couldn't even participate in pregrame workouts. He wasn't a huge factor today, but he played tough none the less.

As of Sunday morning, Rob Gronkowski didn't think he would play against the Jets due to an illness.

Gronk was so sick to his stomach that he didn't even participate in pre-game warmups. The illness may help to explain Aaron Hernandez's increased role while Gronkowski concentrated on blocking duties. His ability to play through the illness should further endear him to teammates and the coaching staff even if his fantasy stats took a big hit. Oct 9 - 9:22 PM

Explains a lot. You could tell we were not ourselves out there as we probably had to make game plan games on the fly.

Both Gronk and Hernandez gutted it out. It isn't fun trying to play on a bum knee either.

I was about thirty yards away from the sideline and saw Gronk upchucking the entire first half between offensive drives...thought it was the heat...no wonder... I want to see a healthy Gronk and Hernandez against these Rats in the Meadowlands.,..sweeping these mutts would send Wrecks into a catatonic sugar shock from chocolate frosting overdose.

I gave kudos to Hernandez in another thread, but he played so well considering he is far less than 100% that I will do it again. Kudos.

Gronk still pushed Scott back about 10 yards into the endzone on one of BJGE's TD's and picked up a huge 1st down on that last drive. No mere illness can stop the Gronk!

Gronk didn't get the flu; the flu got Gronked!

I have a bum knee right now and i can barley stand at work for 8 hours..these guys are champs

Wow can't believe Gronk played sick. Didn't see much on the passing game, but he made some wicked blocks for the running backs.

Can't wait until the entire offense is healthy

Gronk needs to stop eating at the Y before game day.

Kudos to him, and to the Law frim, with gronk down a bit BJGE stepped up big time to make up all the offense we could have been lost

Note to Gronk, When Rex Ryan says, "Hey Gronk! Try some of this great kielbasa!" Don't.

Had a monster game blocking. It's situations like this and this kind of response that forges champions. Gutsy.
