I simply love the ground and pound we have done the past 2 games....this kind of balance empties the clock, puts less pressure of Brady and keeps him from injury and also keeps a defense which has struggled at times on the bench.

I wish we continue to do this and the sky is the limit if the ground game continues to have success.

BTW: Matt Light DOMINATED in front of the run today...a much appreciated effort from a player who some thought was done.

I think the team has had one for about a calendar year now. They just didn't use the running attack.

Makes you wonder if a different game plan might have won that playoff game last January

I think the team has FINALLY decided, less Brady, more run.....and it's about time,we have the ammo both in the air and on the ground, now we need to use it.

You could just see the Pats defense late in the game looking as fresh as if it was the first quarter because they didn't have to be out there and waxed by the 4th quarter....this is how you keep a defense improving, keep them from getting sweaty.

Great playcalling and balance today by the offense. Looks like that terrible Bills game woke them up.

We can run the ball and have TB..enough said

Although the Jets D is pretty bad.

What we saw today falls in line with what we were doing when the team was winning all of those championships. We saw quick passes and a respectable running game . . . extraordinary in Dillon's first season. The offense changed when the rules changed. Today was the closest to the old Pats offense as we're going to see with the rules being what they are in today's NFL.

Yeah. I think they realized this and adjusted too late (mid-to-late 3rd quarter) towards a more rushing attack in that playoff game.

Waters was a huge pickup for us ... he's gotten up to speed and now we hope for health for all of them.

The balance has been good. I like the way the RB's have meshed these last 2 weeks. Lot of folks have been screaming for Ridley to be the full time RB and that's fine. He's looked good, especially last week. But low and behold we play a different type of game and in enters our old friend Benjarvus. Not so fast, don't bury him just yet.

Both backs have their values and that is as clear as glass the last 2 weeks. RBBC is fine with me the rest of the way. The matchups will sometimes dictate this.

great game.

A must win.

Great to see the jets d suck it up today.

Excellent play calling. We stuck it to them DELIGHTED

Bottom line is: There is not a team in the NFL that can do what it takes to cover Welker, Gronk, and Hernandez, AND stop the run.

This was one of the best overall games ive seen in a long time as far as a balanced attack. I hope todays is what we're going to see on a weekly basis.

Connolly is playing so well with the run that I wonder if Koppen will have to fight for his job back.

Hard to believe today was the lowest score this offense has finished with this season and they still scored 30 points.

That was better than a "respectable" running game today, That was a dominant performance, especially in the 4th quarter. This team is better than the 2010 edition and the defense is improving.

Agreed. And he's not making the mental mistakes this year he has in the past.

I have been waiting for a game-ending drive where they just ran the ball down the throat of the opposition even when they were waiting for it for what feels like forever.

That was my favorite drive of the game.

Koppen is a FA after this season.

Maybe now you and Sean will feel a confident enough not to pick against the home team...;) Must be something in the PA water....

Light has always been better with the run blocking than pass and I think the more we see the run,the more Light's true strength is seen.
