The Patriots announced their inactive players for today's game against the New York Jets. RB Danny Woodhead, WR Julian Edelman, S Josh Barrett, OT Sebastian Vollmer, QB Ryan Mallett, DT Mike Wright and LB Jerod Mayo are all out.

Woodhead and Edelman both missed practice all week with ankle injuries. Barrett, who had been listed as questionable heading into today's game, had limited participation in practice all week with thumb and hamstring injuries.

Mallett is the only healthy scratch.

Re: Official Inactives are...

Nice to see Ras-i and Bodden back. And with both TEs active, time to see what fun we can make with the TE match ups.

Was hoping Mike Wright could play. Appears he's headed in the right direction though. Surprised at Barrett. Doesn't hurt. He's been awful. I hope Vollmer's back isn't serious. We could use the big fella. And then we can use your boy Solder as a TE like the end of the SD game where we just rag-dolled their def. front.

Re: Official Inactives are...

What the hell actually happened to Vollmer that he has missed so much time?

That Solder pick is looking better each week.

Agreed. I'm a little surprised with Barrett. We're going to be thin on experienced safeties.

Re: Official Inactives are...

I'll take a good safety over an experienced one anyday....;)

I am sure Vollmer will be back after BYE week. BB feels confident in my man Solder... so why rush Vollmer back too early?

Fyi Vollmer hurt his lower back I believe

Any 1 know the JESTS inactives for today?

Looks as if Vereen will get a chance to dance today.

Good news Haynesworth and Hernandez are back...

Hopefully, in long straight lines, rather than breakdancing. ;)

Along with the Matt Light signing.

JESTS Inactives are

Jets inactives: O'Connell, Payne, Powell, Baker, McIntyre, Baxter and Ellis. #nyj

All 10 DB's are up

Re: Official Inactives are...

Baxter being inactive must mean that the Jets are confident that Mangold can go the whole game.

Except, that leaves them with Slauson as the backup to Mangold......and Vlad "the invisible" DuCasse,as the backup guard.....and 10 active DB's?.......what is Rexy expecting....the Luftwaffe?
