Big name guys out there

Maybe I'm missing something, but I have no idea what Robert Mathis is doing at #5

And Super Mario at 9. Williams is younger and better, doesn't make sense.

Brandon Lloyd so low is another fail.

Looking forward to Free Agency next year for sure.

As far as the ranking I agree I would have Welker in the Top five until we lock him up long term as he is so the Patriot type player....except for the feet comment last year:D:D

Author is clearly a Saints fan.

That list makes me wish we grabbed Peppers when we had a chance, it is just so hard to get a difference maker in their prime.

NFL Trade Rumors? I must have missed that site before. At any rate, clearly Welker is a top FA next year, provided we don't resign or franchise him.

I'm pretty happy with what we have. I prefer having multiple backs, as injuries at the position are a given.

I agree it is the shiny beads thing, prefer our "committee" to one featured back, the season is too long and too violent to overspend on one back..

yeah, he has his feet planted firmly on the ground.

For the Pats, I'd like to see:

LaRon Landry
Jim Leonhard

The Pats need a safety who can line up next to Chung..

Cortland Finnegan over Wes Welker

LMFAO

This! I've been saying this for the last 3 years. We really need someone smart.

Also, How awesome it would be to sign Finley. We'd go 3 TE 80% of plays. Even with a 3TE/1RB/1WR, we would be able to go 5 wide. No one will ever be able to match up with us.

(Welker - Woody/Ridley - Gronk-Hernandez-Finley)

YES! Eddie Royal wasn't listed, he's my under-the-radar free agent binkie for 2012!

Yea, but a lot of those guys are gonna get signed by their team though. Would love to have super mario on this team or laron landry.

Mario Williams would be a welcome addition to the team.. And the Pats should have plenty of money to add him..

Re-signing Welker will be a priority. Branch, not so much..

The class of Safeties, in the draft, is looking pretty weak. Not sure what the Pats will do there. If there is a 6'0-6'2 CB who likes to support the run but is also good in coverage and knows how to tackle, I would look at a conversion project ala Eugene Wilson.

Desean Jackson would be a monster in this offense. Him and Brady together? WOW. He would be our deep threat/special teams big time playmaker.
