Jets Confident They Can 'Completely' Shut The Patriots Down
By: Ian Logue

Good weeks of practice usually lead to good things, but let's hope this week that isn't the case - at least as far as the Jets are concerned anyway....

Rex completely disses the Buffalo Bills in the last sentence - what a dope:

"“We have to get it,” said Ryan. ”And it’s still not a cop out because we have to get it fixed in a hurry. You’re playing the number one team in your division. You need to get it fixed right now.”"

Hey, Rex: the mediocre 2-2 NY Jets are #3 in the division right now behind the Buffalo Bills and the New England Patriots at 3-1.

The Jets is what you is, Rex: an also-ran!

I LOVE it when the Jets talk s***! They are giving Bill Belichick TONS of motivational material for his team! :rocker:

Well, guess that says it all. Were screwd  No way we can beat a good Jets practice.

Should be a headline in a paper that says ...

"Jets Confident They Can't 'Completely' Shut The Fu(k Up Before A Game"

Did anyone do an over/under on the number of injured players (who make it back into the game) if the patriots decide to go no huddle?

I expect the Jets are up for this game for a number of reasons. But, I expect the patriots will have a plan on offense as well and that they can adjust to the jets strategy.

If doing that flying thing around the end zone after the game in last year's playoff at Gillette wasn't enough bulletin board stuff that they remember,I don't know what is.

The Jets will almost certainly look nothing like they did last week against a stout and respectable defense of the Ravens and we will see thier A game as we almost always do....the thing is the Pats have to bring thier A+ game, avoid turnovers and should that be happy results for us.

I'm calling atleast 2 picks from Sanchez.

Our defense will step up to the plate this week.

That's foolishness. The Jets can't shut down NE playing straight up. Those times that the Jets have been successful were because they were able to disguise their coverages. Sometimes that works, and sometimes that doesn't but that hardly translates into being able to completely shut down an offense.

Sometimes I think people tend to over think these matchups. It the end it comes down to line play and I think the Patriots have the advantage there on both lines.

Remember Joe Namath is the Jets icon/identity and they feel the need to make bold predictions...it's just the Jets sticking to tradition.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then

LOL! How many losses do the Jets need to get before they become a complete joke? I have never seen anyone talk more smack while being a middle of the pack team.

Damn! What are we going to do?
Why are even playing the game?

May be we should give the game before they even arrive.

We're a different team than they beat in the playoffs, we can run Sunday and also go no huddle to keep them off balance. Thats what I predict they're going to do.

You know what, **** the Jets. As much as I've always hated the Yankees and Lakers, at least they understood how to conduct themselves with class before and after the battle. All the Jets know how to do is talk ****. I hope the Pats curbstomp those pieces of ****. See, they're even making me sound like a typical Jets fan. More reason to despise that team.

I set the number of fake injuries by the Jets defense to slow down the no huddle at 3.5, I'll take the over.

I am guessing you didn't see Bynum against Dallas..the last game before they were gone. F the lakers

Yeah Bynum is a POS, but I don't remember him popping off during the Celtics battles. Bynum really came into his own as a douche last season.

Mike DeVito? Come on, now I've heard it all.

I forgot about that! I always hated that stupid 'jet airplane' that they do. I hope we crush them into the ground!

I don't see the no-huddle offense working against a blitzing team like the jets. Their answer would be to blitz more and knock brady to the ground. Brady will not be hurrying up to snap the ball if he has to pick himself off the ground often. The best thing to do is slow things down to account for and pick up their blitzers.
A good blitzing team like the jets and ravens are sending 5 or 6 players whether you use no huddle or not. Hurrying up too often may prevent the offensive line from been able to account for the extra guys coming, especially since ryan likes to overload is blitz on one side, sending more players than you can block on that side. I think a no-huddle offense is gonna get brady killed. The jets corners are good enough to prevent our receivers from getting open quickly before the blitz gets there.
