Week 5 Games

Jets (2-2) at Patriots (3-1) 4:15PM ET

don't need to explain this

Eagles (1-3) at Bills (3-1) 1:00PM ET

nor this.

Saints (3-1) at Panthers (1-3) 1:00PM ET,

NEP have the NOS 1st round pick.....

Raiders (2-2) at Texans (3-1) 1:00PM ET,

... and the Raiders second round pick.

Buccaneers (3-1) at 49ers (3-1) 4:05PM ET,

we want someone other than the Saints to win the NFCS Bucs are the best shot.

Packers (4-0) at Falcons (2-2) 8:20PM ET,

If the Bucs don't win the NFCS, having the Falcons do it is fine.

Chargers (3-1) at Broncos (1-3) 4:15PM ET,

Chargers are our best shot at keeping Oakland from winning the AFCW

Chiefs (1-3) at Colts (0-4) 1:00PM ET,

Don't see it happening but having the Chiefs win the AFCW is cool.

Seahawks (1-3) at Giants (3-1) 1:00PM ET,

We want someone other than the Eagles to win the NFCE. We have Philly's 4th

Bengals (2-2) at Jaguars (1-3) 1:00PM ET,
Titans (3-1) at Steelers (2-2) 1:00PM ET,

These two are quite a stretch...but the Bills our division rival has the Raven's 4th so we want the Ravens to win the division (and lose to us in the AFCCG) to diminish its value. I said it was a stretch.

Cardinals (1-3) at Vikings (0-4) 1:00PM ET,
Bears (2-2) at Lions (4-0) MNF 8:30PM ET,

only two games with no interst for NEP fans.

Byes: Browns (2-2), Cowboys (2-2), Dolphins (0-4), Rams (0-4), Ravens (3-1), Redskins (3-1)

Re: For Whom to root week 5

For whom should I root?

Lions over Bears. Hate Cutler.

Titans over Steelers. Looking for a Big Tits win.

Hate rooting for Vick & Eagles. We need to beat the Bills on our own merits. Not only that but just think of the implosion when the NY Jets finish 3rd.

Tough call here. I don't want to see either of these teams in the Luck sweepstakes, albeit for very different reasons.

Why are people so afraid of Andrew Luck? It's pathetic.

Agreed on Luck, but I defintely don't want the Colts having the #1 overall. If they don't plan on drafting Luck, they'll get ALOT for trading that pick. So if Manning comes back full strength (may or may not happen) and Polian gets an abundance of picks to work with, Indy might have another solid run in them starting next year.

We have the Colts and Steelers and the Jets have the Jags and Ravens as our only scheduling differences. So while throwing up in my mouth I'll root for the Colts and Steelers. Rooting against the Ravens and Jags is easy.

Hoodie, I know its early, but if we were to meet up with a member of the AFCS in the playoffs; who would you deem as a bigger threat: Titans or Texans?

Differences:

1) Bills over Eagles. (the big picture)

2) Colts over Chiefs (the first pick in the draft will be extremely powerful)

3) Broncos over Chargers (the big picture at season's end)

4) Seahawks over Giants (the big picture--do we want Giants in the Supe)

5) Bears over Lions (do we want the Lions in the Supe)

Can not root for Newton... want Alex Smith to get SF to the playoffs (he deserves to have some success after all these coordinators)... can't really root for the Chargers or the Giants.

So I guess I'm against the rest of you this week.

And in the "who cares" bowl, got to go with the Cardinals. Like Kolb, not McNabb.

I went to my chiropractor the other day and asked him Payton would play this year. He stated that Payton probably would never play again. I asked what would happen with all the money due. He said, the first year is guaranteed (20 Million) but they can cut him five days after the Superbowl and not pay the remainder. Note on my chiro, played college football and has half a dozen NFL jerseys signed and framed on his wall with messages such as, thanks for keeping me healthy. Not saying this is inside info, just that he knows his sheet. Thus, root for the Colts or they will have some nice picks.

Upon reflection and peoples concerns about the power of the #1 pick, I think we can safely add....

Cardinals (1-3) at Vikings (0-4) 1:00PM ET,

to the mix.

While many seem concerned about the Colts potentially getting the first pick overall, I am at a loss at why that would be worse than the Dolphins getting the first pick. We play the Dolphins twice every year. The Colts we play once or not at all.

But clearly it would be in NE's best interest for the NFC to get the first pick overall. (peferably the saints)
