Is Haynesworth on the Patriots after the bye?

Really, he has given the team nothing. Do they keep him or just cut bait...

Look for a similar poll in the near future for good old #85

I wish you had an I don't care option. I didn't expect much from him, and so far that's what they've got. NOTHING. I didn't like the trade to begin with.

The dudes played two games and looked pretty good vs the fish. If pats win the super bowl I think al will be a big part of it. Look how Freddie did last week with him out.

Really? Really?

Why would you cut him after 2 games played? Oh that's right..he hasn't had 34 sacks yet this year.

If they cut him who replaces him on this already thin line?

That one arm tackle on Reggie Bush was a pretty awesome spectacle. I think I heard a full orchestra accompaniment in my head when I watched that in slo-mo. I think this engine is just starting to heat up.

Man, there's going to be a tough competition for "worst thread of the year" this season. Trade Welker still has this beat by a long shot, though.

When we got Al, it was known that he was out of shape, he didn't know the defense, and the season was starting in ~7 weeks. The football season is long; anyone who's making these kinds of snap judgments after 3 weeks is just being dumb.

He looked good to me against Miami. I thought he played better than most posters thought against SD. While not a fan of the trade, I think he could be a major part of our DL. And he's relatively cheap. Why would we want to cut him?

Even if he's not what u expected, who the heck is gonna replace him? This defensive line is thin and gets pushed around like rag dolls!!

If they're still playing like this after the bye week then the whole defense ought to be released.

Wow! Holy crap.

Thanks for the early warning!

Why is this even a question? Richard Seymour ain't walking through that door. Except as a member of the opposing team next week.

I'm still up for cutting some posters. what this adds to the forum is beyond me.

We should have training camp every summer where anyone can join, then roster cutdowns right before the season starts :p

Wow........ there are really some posters here that don't know the first thing about football. First two games of the year when Haynesworth was playing, we had 2 4-play, turnover on downs, goal-line stands from inside the 1. Name the last time you saw that in back to back games for the Patriots?........ and you want to cut him? WTF?

When the two big men up front are in, they are immovable and force short plays outside (a much lower percentage goal-line play). Say what you want, but this defense has already proven that it's different when he's in there vs. when he's not.

This is the dumbest thread in a week of historically dumb thread. Congrats on that at the very least.

the pats have 6 sacks in the first two games Haynesworth played in they could not even touch Fitzpatrick without him in there Bottom line is he makes a bad defense better

There you go. Claim some unfortunate posters from losing teams on waivers and see if they can appreciate rooting for a team with a winning record every single year.

I'm dying in anticipation of the next poll.
