Television coverage for Pats at Raiders, week 4
By: John Morgan

For out of town Pats fans that don't subscribe to the Sunday Ticket, network coverage of week four's game at Oakland is going to be a disappointment for many of you. While it is not quite as sparse as last week, there's not much improvement either....

Im in Oregon(my family's in boston) and i've been watching the games on skype, my parents just point the webcam at the TV. It's pretty fun to watch games like this, if anyone has friends or family out of town give it a try. you can also use facebook's skype or google+ video chat if thats easier.

Slingbox is another excellent alternative to those out of towners that have friends or family in New England, but do not have the Sunday Ticket. Pay once for the hardware, and that's it; no recurring monthly fee. Right now they're selling refurbished versions of the standard model for $99.

Denver at Green bay what a wack 'showcase' game.

When I saw red all over the coverage maps I could've sworn it'd be our game, easily the best late matchup

Yeah, when the schedule was first announced several months ago and I saw the three late CBS games I was pretty confident that the Pats-Raiders would get top billing over the Packers-Broncos, simply because Denver was so bad last year and haven't been to the playoffs for five years now.

Game on TV this Sunday:For PATS fans around LA area

Pats fans (even raider fans for that matter) in an around LA county will be seeing the CHARGERS play the FINS this week on tv(KCBS),
as of the latest figures the Chargers need to sell 7,200 tickets, in order to allow the home game against the Dolphins to be televised locally.
If they fail to sell all the tickets the Chargers game will be blacked out and the fallback game is Patriots-Raiders :rocker:

Lets Hope the chargers game is not sold out (i will be in LA this weekend,so hoping to catch the PATS game on TV)

I see we will have Harlan and Wilcotts doing the game who I like very much. Glad we don't have Marv and Gannon. They were brutal last week.

Re: Game on TV this Sunday:For PATS fans around LA area

such a blessing, i think it was at least two times last year where the SD game was blacked out and us angelenos got to see our pats on network TV. one of those games was the 45-3 jets game.

there is so much love for the silver and black here in LA, i can't see why the NFL wants to lose ratings to a team that has problems selling out qualcomm. especially when the chargers have had some really good teams.

It doesn't matter what negative things you say about the raider fans, they are loyal as hell. their commitment to their team didn't waiver even through jamarcus' tenure.

all praises for loyalty aside, raider fans down here are some obnoxious turds. Please don't sell out SD, i can't help but wear my old tattered pat the patriot shirt on gameday, i just don't want to have to bring my telescoping baton to the bar to watch the game.

I hate cbs!!!!! Screw you!!!!

Ive heard about Slingbox but has anyone tried tvtuner cards with their PC? Most from what I've seen are a much cheaper alternative than slingblox and I only want non interrupted stream quality (even the best freeze up and lag) until I can acquire the games in HD later.

If you have a tv tuner card....can you get channels from Boston if you live in Columbus Ohio?

Thats essentially my question. I'm in SC.

Looks like I get to stay home & watch/DVR the game, thanks to WHP in Harrisburg PA.
I thought for sure that I would be going to the Bear's Den, where a couple of tables of us Pats fans
had to endure the couple of table of Buffalo Billiards fans celebrating their Super Bowl win.

especially after the ref handed it to them.

it's for watching live stream on your PC? I've tried the sketchy live stream sites that shut down and have connection problems for viewing games. i'll have to google it.

Skyping games cross country w the family is a blast actually. It'd be nice to have a back up option for when they're not home.

anyone know if this site is legit? nfl live streaming.
How To Watch NFL Online Live Stream Free HD – Season 2011

Skype sounds better than the sketchy internet streams that always seem jerky, blurry, and are frequently shut down mid-game. If anyone is willing to point their webcam at the TV and skype it, send me a PM.

This is the last week of three Patriots games in a row not shown in my area, since the Dolphins play on the same network at the same time as the Patriots. After this week, the next 9 Patriots games should be on free local TV because either 1) it's a national game, 2) the Dolphins are playing on a different day, 3) one is on Fox and one on CBS due to one playing interconference at home, or 4) the Dolphins are playing at a different time on a day when the network carrying both Dolphins and Patriots has a doubleheader.

I have had Sunday ticket before, but it was hard to justify the $$$ when I think I'll pick up 11 or even 12 games for free.

Finally, something for which to be grateful to Jets fans. Pats/Raiders is on in the Apple!

I just checked the TV here in Charlotte and we have the Broncos/Packers on.
Bummer
