The Minnesota Vikings have told receiver Marcus Robinson he is being released, Robinson's agent told The Associated Press on Sunday.
The 31-year-old Robinson has 29 catches for 381 yards and a team-leading four touchdowns this season

I am NOT talking about this year but; is he anyone we care to look at next year? Just asking....

What's wrong with him?

Why is he being released?

Too old dude.......GO PATS!!!!!:rocker:

I have no idea why we was released by the Vikings. Just wondering if he would be worth a look see next year...that's all

The only real reason to pick him up is as a flier for next year, he is under contract through 2007 (no idea how much). Very unlikely he could contribute much this year.

Maybe he could be another J.J. Stokes!

I think he had off the field problems.

I think he had off the field problems.

A quick review of the news does not indicate any off field problems, if anything he has been critical of Brad Childress and the play calling... but there is no clear indication as to why he was released. He indicates it was a total surprise.

I was thinking more of Charles Johnson in 2001...

He was released because he was supposedly criticizing the Minnesota
offense.

In Truth and Rumors, it said that the Vikes were so depleted at WR, that they were considering trading for Randy Moss and the thought was they might be able to get him for a third rounder. I'm not a big fan of Moss, but a third rounder?

a 3rd for Moss?

maybe they can get Culpepper for a 4th...

Maybe they could swing that deal in the few minutes after Al Davis has taken his sleeping medication.

Nobody wants Culpepper now. Let's get serious.

why on earth would Minnesota want Moss back?

and if for some reason they lose their minds and do want him back, why wouldn't they also want Culpepper back?
