The Phins fan that I asked said that he's only a decent blocker.

Hmm, well I suppose he should do better than Dane Fletcher.

Can any of these guys play corner or safety? :p

don't worry.... GRONK can play every position on this team and at a Pro-Bowl caliber

Sign Polite! We need a fullback.
If the Patriots sign Polite and integrate him into the run game I can see BJGE or Ridley going nuts. The threat of teams seeing a FB line up is going to stack the box then Brady can do what he likes from there.

I would be very happy if the Patriots signed a FB and a Safety soon.

LeRon McLain was available in the offseason. Settling for Polite because the team didn't bother earlier doesn't really inspire.

Hear you, but at least its better than nothing (if we sign anybody that is).

I wonder if they became overly infatuated with the multiple TE sets and thought that would give them the effect of a FB without a FB. I dont think there's any substitute for a stout bowling-ball runner crashing into a defender, I hope they've learned their lesson and will actually keep a FB from now on.

We don't need to sign anyone. I'm sure Belichick expects to seet great contributions this year from Ihedigbo, Molden, Tarp, Adams and Ventrone.

I will go out on a limb and say that I think that Polite could be more valuable than any of these five, although one or two might be needed this week if there are no injury improvements.

Hey, isn't the third Gronk a full back ??

Time for the universe to explode

And he's the one who missed the block that knocked Romo out last year.

C-Gronk : Romo :: Morris : TFB

And yet Morris was on the roster through last year. . . .

Morris isn't really a fullback though. He's basically a pretend fullback for when you don't have a real one.

YES! Please sign Polite. A fullback would be nice to have again.

Polite would instantly improve our running offense. The guy is a beast.

but, wouldnt this mean we're going to run the ball more? It'll never happen. BB is just teasing me.

If we're going to play a power run formation to compliment the passing offense I am all for a FB guiding BJGE.

Who was the fullback opening holes for Ridley?

Ridley ran beautifully on the back of some good run blocking assignments. What's your point?

Ridley has looked good in brief looks. Interesting that Edleman got touches ahead of Vereen, who was dressed. Maybe BB is considering FB instead of TE to replace Hernandez. More of a blocker than receiver, but so was Gronk. And maybe he can get us a 3rd and 1.

Yea, I'll believe BOB will actually call running plays when I see it.
