Brady and The Patriots Need to Move on From This 'One Game' and Get Ready For Oakland
By: Ian Logue

There was one recurring theme that stood out while the Patriots lick their wounds after Sunday's loss and start preparing for a trip out to Oakland this Sunday - it was just one game....

Re: Brady and The Patriots Need to Move on From This 'One Game' and Get Ready For Oak

I think they already have. It's the fans that need to move on.

Yeah, you beat me to it; my exact thoughts.

To me the best thing to do is learn from the mistakes and move on. Yeah it sucks we lost to Buffalo but the season is far from over. Winning against Oakland will help us get back on the road to success.

LETS GO PATS!

Unless someone can wake up the Defense and inform them that the regular season started 3 weeks ago, and inform the Offense that there is such a thing called running the football, this could be another drubbing.

Unlike the Bills, chargers, Dolphins who don't have much of a running attack, the Raiders possess a duo of DMac and Michael Bush they can pound away at this defense to control the clock.
DMac is running like a man possessed at projected 2100 yard pace.

And if McCourty is still in his funk Denarious Moore and Bey will have a field day.

Raiders are 2-1 and tied with Bolts for AFCW lead, so not a cakewalk.

Based on the 100 or so comments that you've made over the last 24 hours, wouldn't you be much happier burning your Pats gear and becoming a Jets fan?

I think it's obvious if the Patriots run the same defensive scheme they ran in the first 3 weeks they stand a good chance of losing. They can run it if they have a healthy Chung, Haynseworth and Dowling and squeek by with a bandaid high scoring affair. Or they can try to implement last years defense into the gameplan this week. Yes it gives up a ton of yards over the middle of the field but it stops the run pretty well and enables McCourty to get back into a zone where I think he is better suited.

Loving the support for the Pats....If they play like they did for the first 25 mins of the game, they will win..If they don't, it will be a shootout and the last team with the ball wins.

Nah, he wants them to lose so he can go into every thread and post how BB sucks at drafting, seems to make him happy

unless the Raiders can beat Brady like a redheaded step child the way the ravens did in the playoff lose a few years ago then running the football dose not work vs the pats cause well the Raiders are puting up slow FG's Brady will put up fast TD's and ther running game will go out the window fast

I think they already have. It's the fans that need to move on.

And the writers.

Do you know D mcfadden and raiders Rbs(Taiwan Jones is even faster tha Mcfadden) You give them a handoff and they are capable of scoring from anywhere whether thats a run or pass. Do you know how much speed and explosive weapons Raiders could put out there at WR(Raiders no time this season has had their full compliment of offensive weapons. They might score faster running it than you score throwing the football.

Denarius Moore 6'0, 195 this kid has the whole package .(speed, hands, and runs great routes GOing to be a nightmare for your secondary.

Jacoby Ford- 5'9 190 guy plays at a diffrent speed than most every single NFl player. Everyone else looks like they are in slow motion.

Louis Murphy6'2 200- explosive wr that has yet to play yet this season. Does drop some easy ones .

Chaz Schilens 6'4 225 - might be raiders best WR o0verall . Has size 6'4 225 speed very good hands and runs good routes. Just very injury prone.

D hagan 6'2 215- Very reliable veteran Wr that will make the tough catches

DHB 6'2 215- probbably their sixth best wr but he will play because he a dominating run blocker.

Having all that size and speed and they can really stretch out a zone defense if you play that.

They have TE Kevin Boss to challenge you down the seams. (very tough if all that speed stretching your zone defense)

FRB marcel Reece- He was suppose to be heavy part of gameplan against the Jets . But got injured. don't know his status for this game. This guys is no ordinary Fb. He a wr 6'3 245 4.41 playing FB. again going to create huge mismatches in raiders favor.

BTW _ the only advanatge on offense you have and its a big One over raiders is at QB. Tom Brady easy a top three qb and Jason campbell is slightly above average. Other than that I rather have what raiders have on offense than what patriots have.

Raiders 45 Patriots 3?

Re: Brady and The Patriots Need to Move on From This 'One Game' and Get Ready For Oak

Raiders 45 Patriots 3?

No The patriots are going to score on the raides defense. Patriots offense is one of the best. Im giving them 30 plus points. This game going to be a shootout. Again the team that settles for fieldgoals instead of Tds is losing this game.

Here is my hope. Bills are making the long trip across the country. Hopefully that slows down nthat offense somewhat. Also R seymour playing his first game against his former team will motivate him to have a good game. Also I expect raiders to play more zone . making Brady be real patient and dink and dunk them down the field.

Not true at all...we were down 17-7 and guess what got us back into the game and really turned the tides? OUR RUNNING GAME.... We will not abandon it, its not something we do just because it is what the Raiders are!

This game will come down to who steps up on Defense and ST...the offenses will score!

I tried to explain this to the thick headed jets fans but the called me stupid... But you better put your McCourty on Moore and a scrub on DHB or DHB will just run fly routes taking McCourty out of the game like he did Revis...Revis had zero impact yesterday. They should have put him on Moore and a nickle on DHB and had Cromartie on Hagan!

Agree 100% on the running game. Will add andre Carter versus Veldheer is going to be trouble for the patriots all game in the running game.

On the pass defense. First McCourtyu pretty good but hes no Revis. If raiders get Jacoby Ford and L Murphy back, Raiders will have alot of Wr's that will prove to be matchup problems for their secondary. I don't think raiders are going to avoid any of their cb's.

This game will come down to which offense settles for fieldgoals instead of Tds.
