What do you want the pats to do? It was either run, have brady pass with a sore shoulder and back or have cassel throw. It was third and long, he ahd to throw.

The guy showed he's legendary by throwing on the sidelines 2 minutes after it happened like he never got hit. He typifies patriots football with mental and physical toughness. We're lucky to have those traits in the most important postion which trickles down to the 53 roster spot.

My concern was that he is hurt worst than it showed.....I wasn't picking on what he did, I too think he is as tough as any lineman.

My concern was after the shoulder hit? Brady threw a poor throw on 3rd and long to Brown. Was his shoulder tightening up. After the hit, he threw a pass to Graham, and then was on the sideline for a good amount of time, while Jax marched down for a TD. AFter the hit, we ran 6 offensive plays, 4 were runs, which is markedly different than the slice and dice passing attack we had seen prior to the hit.

I don't think that bad throw to Brown on 3rd down was a result of a sore shoulder. Henderson was right in his face and he had to throw over him. A result of Henderson being a monster, and Brown being 5'8 made the overthrow worse than it would have been.

Is there any doubt in the world that Tom Brady is the best QB in the national football league? The average football fan will look at his play today and say he dink and dunked all day never really throwing a pass longer than 25 yards. An experienced football person would look at this performance and compare it to a surgeon meticulously performing a critical surgery.

Pay very close attention to this special player. You are watching the equivalent of Ted Williams, Bobby Orr and Bill Russell to his perspective sport and it won’t last forever.

Happy Holidays…Go Patriots!

No question, he is one of the greatest QB's to ever play the game in the NFL......In my opinion, he may just be the greatest considering what he has accomplished in a relatively short amount of time. And.......he really isn't at 100% right now IMHO either.....something is affecting his throwing motion it would seem as he is sailing more passes higher this year......One of my friend is a huge doofin fan....and Marino fan.....and he was going on and on about how "Marino never had a running back when he played".....Well, let's be honest....for 2 of 3 of "Brady's" SB's........he had A. Smith back there who was certainly NO running dynamo......no offense to Antowain.....anyways, I hate that Marino never had a running back talk.........GO PATS!!!!

Manning is the best pure passer in the league, and it doesn't hurt to have an expensive offense assembled around him including pro bowl linemen and 2 #1 WR's pulling down $15M+ between just the two of them. You think Peyton could make do with a rag tag crew of cast offs, practice squad players and rookies? Dream on.

* I agree as a pure passer Manning is better. But not a better overall QB. If Peyton had those castoffs and PS players he'd throw them under the bus, too. Must be a big bus.

How about Mannings performances in losses to Dallas, Tennessee and Jacksonville? Yes, Manning is a better passer than Brady. Look at the stats...and I'm a hard-core Pats fan and I'll admit it. (IMO, I think that any Pats fan that would argue that Brady is a better PASSER than Manning is dumb. But if you want to argue stats, Brady tied the league record with 12 TD's to 12 different receivers and he's got 11 TD's to 11 receivers this year). Brady is a superb game manager. He's not afraid to call a QB sneak or a draw when the situation arises. He reads a defense quickly and has tremendous pocket presence.

Most of his problems this year have come from spotty play from the O-Line and sub-standard receivers. With apologies to Denny Green, Brady is who we thought he was...it just the rest of the offense isn't. :D

Tom Brady is a first ballot Hall of Famer...So is Manning.

The gray area that separates a 'passer' from a true 'quarterback' is becoming clearer nowadays. Read some of Manning's comments after Sunday's loss:

IMO a 'passer' is just a guy who flings the ball around and calls out his teammates. A 'quarterback' is a guy that will shoulder the load and will his team to victory without humiliating his teammates.

I'm glad we have THE BEST QB IN THE NFL in Tom Brady.

Indy fans can have THE BEST PASSER IN THE NFL in Peyton Manning.
