...21-0 took the loudest Bills crowd ever out of the game.

24-24 and 31-24 were deafening. You could not hear yourself speak.

Patriots have big problems here: Barrett, S. Brown, Spikes, A. Carter.

It doesn't show on TV as well as you see it in the stadium, but any fan watching plays develop and watching the opposing QB can point to the direction he's going to throw it long before Barrett or Brown will even begin breaking. They just don't see what's going on out there.

Spikes can't cover, can't tackle, wussed out of a big hit.

Carter can't rush the passer, can't stop the run.

Big problems on defense and you could see them even when the Patriots were up 21-0.

Brady actually had more open receivers than you might guess. He locked on Welker because Welker was playing so well, and to a degree Gronk, but he had other guys open, like Edelman. The only guy not going open was Branch and that's because the Bills elected to double him.

How I wish they had let Fred Jackson score!!

I was also dismayed by the fact that the Patriots did not go to no huddle on the last drive.

Fitzpatrick actually doesn't impress me. He's a gambler. He had guys wide open underneath that he just ignores.

Yeah I saw one play where Spikes looked like someone the Pats found at the airport and asked him if he wanted to give playing linebacker a try.

The thing that pissed me off about Spikes today was when Fitzpatrick was taking a knee and he just kinda fell to the ground and it became a pile, Spikes runs out and starts signaling like he knew we had it.........I felt an emotion I had never felt before and then......:(

And Cunningham is out there irregularly. I mean, if he can't outplay Carter at this point, that's bad.

Keep drafting in quantity philosophy is being shredded to pieces

It was ONE loss. If the Pats are still playing like this then we will have a problem. Where did the defense go? Did Rex Ryan eat them and put clones in? There needs to be a major turn around if we think we will even make it to the playoffs!

Anyone see Spikes doing a dance after that play for a loss? He was the 4th person to tackle the guy, but the only one celebrating it. Please make at least one play before you start celebrating. Thanks

Even though it's tough to see the safeties play on TV they did look out of position a few times. Kind of sad that we have to play with these guy the rest of the year. Team will be going over the top ALL day.

Carter could stop the run imo

Fitz didn't play very well, but the Bills have a nice balanced attack. The pressure is not on him like it is Brady.

Two things, one, according to the documentary, Belichick encourages players to get up and show emotion. I do agree though that Spikes is one of the last people that should opening his mouth. And two, Brady could also have that balanced attack if O'Brien would actually stay with the damn run.

Nice observations. We have our issues for sure.

Can't imagine how it would've been to actually be there, it was bad enough in the comfort of my living room.

As discussed.......... I was there too. Little different angle, but I agree with a lot of what you are saying. Defense has issues, most of them start up front.

A lot of poor officiating today........ both sides of the ball. NE's penalties just came as worse times for them. I was very impressed with Riddley today. He's gonna be a good back for us. Solder was a beast. First time I saw him live. The dude is just big. He's a player.

TFB had a bad day today...... He had plenty of time, but just never looked comfortable throwing it. Even the hurry-up just clunky and struggled. Outside the first quarter anyway.

That last long Patriot drive was eerily reminiscent of the long drive against the Jets in the 4th quarter of the playoffs last year. No sense of urgency.

How do you expect anyone to take you seriously when you really believe that every fan in the stands can read the play better than the professional football players on the field.

I really don't care if anyone takes me seriously. All I know is I was calling plays. Like Gronk out alone on the right, while 3 were bunched on the left. I said, ball is going to Gronk. Sure enough, it did.

When Fitzpatrick was back there, I said, he's coming to Jones. How did I know? He was freaking winding up his arm!! What was Barrett doing? Nothing. He broke long after Fitzpatrick released.

You don't seem to understand what I wrote. If a dummy know-nothing like me can see it, why in the world can't our safeties. I can't emphasize this enough. I know nothing. I saw it, so did 65,000 other people. Our safety didn't.

How do you feel now?

If you are seriously that out of touch with reality, there is no point responding.

I doubt he really believes that every fan at the game was reading plays better than the players. I think he was just making a point.

Nevermind maybe he does

Nevermind maybe he does

It had nothing to do with reading plays. It was looking at Fitzpatrick throw the ball with no break on it at all. When a QB aims his body at the only WR on that side of the field and winds up, while our safety is picking daisies, it doesn't take a genius to watch that happen. But hey, if you want to twist things like AndyJohnson, be my guest.

We scored with 2+ mins left.....I don't see where you are going with this.

What did I twist? You said every fan in the stadium could read the play and our safeties couldn't. (You also said you knew when they would throw to Gronk too).
I accepted that as your real honest view of what you think, and chose to dismiss it as ignorant. Where is the twist?

Keep drafting in quantity philosophy is being shredded to pieces

Regarding moving down in the draft, it's almost like BB has resigned himself to a "damned if I do, damned if I don't" philosophy to rookies so he's decided to take a draft-in-bulk-and-see-how-many-stick-approach. Kind of the idea that you can either draft gifted athletes that turn out to be knuckleheads-- lMerriweathers, Spikes and Chad Jacksons of the world--or smart players like McCourty, Mayo and Chung who may not be upper-echelon elite athletes on the pro level .

There are obvious exceptions like Gronk and Vollmer, but far too few in recent years IMO.
