Not because of anything the Pats did, but how pathetic people on this board are acting. When did we become Red Sox fans who aren't happy unless they are miserable and complaining about their team? In fact, the Red Sox fans aren't even that bad anymore.

I can't even believe that there is no originality in the biatching either. Seriously, after one loss, the "the game passed Belichick by" threads come out?

I can't believe it, but I really think that there are a segment of the fans here who want the Pats to lose because they are so miserable that they want to be able to biatch about Bill O'Brien, Devin McCourty, and Chad Ochocinco. It is like their lives aren't fulfilled unless they can complain.

The fact of the matter is the Pats lost to a good team in the division. There are definitely a lot of things that need to be fixed on this team, but you can say that about just about every team in the league. Even the undefeated teams have shown some big flaws. Getting healthy and gelling as a team will fix a lot of the problems. People need to get off the ledge and think rationally.

Good post. I think there's a healthy medium... certainly some questions about personnel decisions can be raised by the team's performance through three games. But I agree the histrionics tend to get out of hand.

Ah, come on Rob! Please see if you can get the mods to change your title to "disgusted to see the so-called Pats fans trashing our team on this site today".

I for one am glad that we had this loss now.

Brady is going to be on fire for the next few games and BB is going to work up the fire in our D.

The only irritations to me are :

1 - The wasted opportunity for a game that was an easy win before we gave it away.

2 - Chad Johnson. Sorry, his cartoon names don't work for me when he play mirrors that description. I've had enough, move along Chad.

3 - Pass rush. We can't win this year with this, somehow it needs to improve, whether through scheme, personnel, or both, or we're done. We can't get to the SB and win it like this.

I'm always happy to watch the Pats. I don't need them to win the SB or be the best ever to be my team. I was fan when when they were the worst team in the NFL. That said, everyone reacts differently to losses. Let's not turn on each other. One game at a time.

Brady may bounce back, but people griping about the defense are justified. The scheme doesn't work and BB did an awful job of personnel management on that side of the ball this offseason. He cut, not traded, 2 veteran safeties. He did not sign anyone else back there even for depth, so now we have 2 jags starting. Haynesworth is a reclamation project and there is no consistent pass rush.

But how about those TE's huh?

well i dont want to say the game has passed belichick by because it hasnt, but the team so uncharistic today.. i think i rather get blown out 44-0... then to lose like that espcially when the franchise played like caca... its still a long season...

Phew! I thought we lost Rob! We have problems but it's way too early to get down. This isn't the Bills of old. This was a very good football team.

excellent post mate............fact of the matter is most the (so called) fans who are complaining have jumped onboard during the 07 season and its hard for them to digest a loss......
A loss is a loss ,the team will have to improve on its weaknesses,we cannot field the 07 team every year.People seriously need to get a life, one loss and the whole world comes to a screeching halt.
just imagine what the eagles fans must be goin thru right now. They have it worse than us
The giants fans are happy with what they have right now.
The 3 teams which won the SB in the last decade were not perfect either, they had there fair share of weaknesses.

I agree with the general premise of this post, in that there is a large number of Boston fans who are miserable and only come out when they can complain. This is why guys like Shaughnessy and Felger have jobs. However today's game was nauseating, no excuse for losing that game up 21-0. All Brady had to do was not force that ball to Gronkowski and we win, couldnt do that I guess. Hope he learned something.

Don't worry. I am like herpes. No matter how much you want and try to get rid of me, I will never leave.

Don't get me wrong. I am peissed that they lost, but there is no reason to become the Fellowship of the Miserable. We can look at this loss for what it was. It was a game they could have and should have won and they blew it with stupid mistakes and poor play at key spots. It sucks, but not the end of the season.

The Jets fans are feeling the same way right now.

YES!!! That play decided the game, forget the other 3 INT's, forget the defense, it was all one pass that was a little short :bricks:

Given your qualifications in your last paragraph, people have every right to complain.

I am probably a #1 or 2 complainer on here....admittedly.

But here's where I'm coming from.

A guy like Tom Brady doesn't come around too often. A top 10 in the history of the NFL QB's if not players.

He will be a major part of what get's you to the championship.

Put some overall above average offensive and defensive talent around him, and a championship is all but assured.

Defensively....from the draft and personnel perspective, the team has failed to assemble a solid core. Too many bad draft picks. Too many questionable FA signings.

My disappointment comes from what I view as squandering of Brady's time with us.

After 3 super bowls, am I spoiled....no question. But few teams have had the luxury of having a player like Brady.....so good for so long.

Well, that is the other thing. There are a lot of Jets fans who pose as Pats fans only to peiss off the fans and rile up the Chicken Little. There are a bunch who I suspect are these people. Hard to tell the miserable people from the faux fans.
