I know we had players out this week, but each week the QB has shredded our defense with very little pressure.

Bill loves his vets, but is this the case of not having enough young blood to get after the QB? Or does Bill just not value a pass rush??!!

???????????

We lost the game precisely because Belichick FIRED the vets. We badly needed VETS at safety.

Thats an easy target but not a lot of those 369 yards were due to the safeties.

We have passed on too many defensive players CAUSE they didn't fit our mode.
JUST DRAFT THE BEST PASS RUSHER ONE TIME!

Clearly a lot were. Having Sanders and Meriweather on the field would have provided both secondary help and run support.

And on this day, Lawyer Milloy is laughing. If not for his spite, he might have been playing today.

Simple formula - start with suspect personnel, add injuries.

I disagree.. A lot of the yards were because the safeties were not where they were supposed to be and/or couldn't make the tackle like they were supposed to. I mean, Sergio brown got carried 5 yards before being thrown off by Fred Jackson. It was a joke.

Isn't it a bit early for this? How many points did Buffalo put up weeks one and two?

Lets see, We have only 1 good safety in chung. We need better safeties, we have no pass rush, our dbs couldnt cover 80 year olds running. We need some serious help. TRADE FOR A PASS RUSHER, SIGN DARREN SHARPER!!

The Pats aren't getting a consistent pass rush. Contrary to many people who claim that there is "NO" pass rush.

Add to the the injuries and the inconsistent play by players such as McCourty and it's a recipe for being 2 and 1 and being considered to have the "worst pass defense" though yards don't mean squat. It's points allowed. Though the defense did allow 27 today, which isn't good.

I understood letting Meriweather go, but I questioned letting Sanders go. Neither Barrett nor Brown have shown the ability to be starters. And the Pats are in deep trouble right now because of it.

Really? Can you actually prove that having James Sanders starting today would've made any difference?

Sergio Brown has actually played very well these first few games. He had a bad penalty in the end zone today, but other than that, he's been very solid. Surprisingly solid, actually.

You're picking on the safeties because you personally dislike the cuts Belichick made earlier this year, not because you have actual evidence of poor performance in our current safeties.

We had one of the worst pass defenses in the league WITH Sanders and Meriweather last year. How does bringing them back change anything that happened today? We still played terrible defense, and more than that, we turned the ball over more times that we received turnovers.

It is possible that the entire sum of the defense = ****. In it's current form, nothing has changed.

I know it might be hard to believe, but it is possible that Buffalo has a decent team this season. I'm not saying they will win the division or make the playoffs, but this game could have an effect similar to the Browns game of last season.

Offense looked sharp, I can't blame Brady for every turnover, 2 were tipped and one was (how it appeared to me) the receiver not breaking in the right direction. On the pick to Ocho I do have to fault Brady for the decision, but Ocho wasn't where he should have been. Ocho also dropped a touchdown.

We do desperately need a pass rusher in my opinion. When we force teams to pass 30-40 times a game and only average 2 sacks there is an issue. Pressure forces bad decisions and hurried throws and we don't have the personnel to get coverage sacks, that is obvious.

Offense can't bail the defense out of every game, Bills offense actually looks legit this season, they found something with Fitzpatrick.

The penalty on Brown could have prevented the loss. Obviously can't blame him for all the yards we gave up, but the penalty on him, unless i'm mistaken, overturned an interception that could have sealed a win.

Patriots have two first round picks next year. They need to use BOTH on developing the pass rush

No clearly they were throwing on our corners in man, and exploiting the LBs with RBs. Sanders and Meriwhether were cut for a reason. Are you saying BB just decided not to keep his best players?

Huh? You want to get 96 year old Lawyer Milloy back? How is not signing a guy because he can't play anymore spite? Or are you saying he should have been here ever since 2003 in the bizarro post?
