Maybe I'm overreacting, but is it time to pull the plug on Edelman?

I agree. Edelman is not the problem.

Next post, please!

It hard to look good when you only get thrown to once a game...and a bad pass at that.

bring back moss , today Adam s. said he was looking or a winning team to come out of retirement

Edelman wasnt the problem, he caught the pass thrown to him and he took the end-around for a solid gain. if there's a weak link on the receiving corp it's Ocho, I defended him initially but he's failing at some basic things any NFL WR should be able to do. If things keep going this way there's no way I want him on next years team, I'd MUCh rather make a move for Eddie Royal and perhaps draft Dwight Jones.

That said, the passing game becomes more productive when you have a legitimate running threat, why should the defense respect the play action of you have Green Ellis who might only get 2-3 yds out of it? They know he's only going up the middle and don't need to respect a run to the edge. Ridley and Vereen simply cannot come online quick enough for me.

Is it me or did Ridley look really solid, gaining very good yardage whenever he got the ball? If Ridley's producing better why doesnt BB put him in more?

With all respect, what the hell does Edelman have to do with any of this?

He provides a super-cheap option as a role player, a major ST contributor on both kickoffs and punt returns, and has versatility.

None of this has anything at all to do with Julian Edelman...

You must be kidding.

I think Julian plays his return role just fine, but I do not understand him in the backfield or Brady forcing passes to him on 3rd and long. That's not on Julian though, that's on the coaches.

I think you are over reacting but that is just me. Edelman is a pretty good kick/ punt returner. I think we should give him more of a chance

Cut Ocho Bring in Moss. Or Trade Edel man to TENN b/c they just lost Mike BRIT and then sign Moss

unfair man. edelman wasnt the problem. problem is our Defense

It doesn't matter who else we bring in. Tom will almost always throw to Wes and the TEs. No one is saying anything about Deion. Should we cut him also?

Deion had 15 catches for 222 yards the first 2 games - most likely why no one is too concerned by today's 0 catches.

Edelman is only one of the top punt returners in the league.

He's not being used enough in the passing game. Using him for "trick" plays only helps marginally.

The bigger issue is B'OB..

He's our best PR since Troy and hopefully our long term PR/backup WR

There were definitely some bigger goats in today's game than Edelman, but I guess my anger level is high right now, so I am attempting to be both rational and vengeful from this loss. Don't get me wrong, Ochocinco was pitifully bad today, but Edelman has now had enough time to make an impact.

So, this is not really an issue that was just today, but something I have wondered over the past two years. Should Edelman (or Ay-delman) really have been a lock to make the roster?

I think it's clear that Edelman will never be anything close to Welker, except in his physical resemblance. I don't even think he should be on the field on offense; it seems that every time a ball in thrown to him, you can always expect something bad to happen, or at best, an incompletion. While Edelman is pretty good at punt returns/kickoffs, he certainly is nothing special there either; he's quick, but how many guys around the NFL could easily exceed his current production there? As a special teams returner specialist, I don't think he justifies a roster spot, considering his offensive output is never going to be anything notable.

I'm not sure of your motive with this thread. Why do you target a player who does what he's asked? A lot of us fans are already pissed over the loss. Pulling the plug on Edelman is stupid!

He plays defense?

I'm suprised this thread got 4 strings worth of gossip. Must be some kind of venting thread or something.

C'mon, you don't know that it becomes an entire venting BOARD after losses?

Do either of these two play safety or outside linebacker?

The offense put us ahead 21-0. The offense tied the game at the end.

The Bills scored at will.

Edelman did nothing wrong, The problem is Ocho.....
