I just feel like it's the one team that is in our head. It also seems like Shanahan is the only coach capable of out scheming BB. Granted beating them woould be great, but I just don't think we match up well with them for some reason.

bah BRING UM ALL!!! We got Brady. I fear no one!!!

I don't want to go so far as saying "We'z dey *****es" - because we do have an impressive victory over them in recent times (the "safety play") ... but if there's one team that we're closest to being da *****es of - its Denver.

I'd prefer not to face them until the AFC Championship Game - if at all/

"we" dont really have an option who "we want" :). for that we shouldve secured a first round bye.. ..lets just enjoy the games i say

Uhhh did you see Brady's performance the last two games Vs. Denver?

Yes this is the kind of team that gives PATs the most trouble.
They can blitz very well.

I think you just hit it right on the head. I thought of that on the play where Matt Light let Spicer go and nearly got Brady killed.

Anyway, I just became a big S.F. Fan!

i wanted Bengals..i rather not go against their LBs and Champ

Truthfully, we NEED to beat Denver in the postseason if we want to go all the way to Miami this year. If the Broncos come in and win again then let them earn it ON THE FIELD instead of in our heads 2 weeks prior.

I don't want them either but we don't get to pick. If we win next week and Miami beats Indy then we would likely avoid them. Otherwise the Broncos are coming to town.

The Pats will likely see Denver in the 1st round and this time they will win the game. Sure, they will give us fits, but I love the fact that they are going with a rookie QB this time of year. Cutler looks OK, but going on the road, against a battle-tested team is going to be the downfall of Denver in the playoffs this year.

They've had our number for some time now, but they really don't want to come here in the 1st round.

Even though Denver won yesterday by a missed EXP by cincy's special teams, thay still looked good, and cutler played great. They are a team i would rather not face, especially because of our history. Denver is a dangerous team right now.

I agree, but don't you think Light might have by now seen the tapes a million times to figure out what should be done to prevent such beatings?

I think we will do quite well against any team that has beaten us during the regular season. Though our offense is yet to settle down, Brady at this point in time should be well aware of the strength/weakness of our current offense as opposed to earlier during the season. This hopefully should give him the edge and help him be more aware of potential breakdowns against teams like Denver, who beat us solidly.

Go PATS!!

Payback to Denver !

i really want it !

Neither do I.

I couldn't believe some of the opportunities Denver got yesterday to help them win-I was pulling for Cincy. Unbelievable. Shanahan is a sneaky bastard with his play calling too-I want to see them lose badly. Especially Champ Bailey-he needs to get thrashed.

Shanahan,Bailey and Lynch have always irritated me and the Denver fans-We need some revenge though-We may need to play them first-It would be sweet if they lost some players to injury.

Well, in addition to Shanahan, I would say that Mangini and Saban could very well do the same. I know Miami is out, but I would like to avoid the Jets in the playoffs as well as Denver. The Belichick coaching tree is perhaps just as formidable as Shanahan. I can understand BB's disciples doing, but Shanahan's success against BB is at times puzzling to me.

Disagree. I think Denver would be licking their chops.

Brady has always looked like crap against Denver, worse than he does against Miami. The one time he beat Denver, it took an intentional safety and the fact that his QB opponent was Danny Kanell to enable the Pats to barely squeak by by 2 points. Otherwise, Brady is snakebitten against Denver, and Cutler will have some margin of error in his first playoff game.

Our home field won't matter since Denver won here earlier this year. The second matchup of the year won't matter since it didn't help us last year in the playoffs. Cold, snow, that won't faze anyone based in Colorado right now. The only way we win is if Denver thinks they're playing Indianapolis instead of NE and short circuits.

But there's also a coolness that they MAY take the Pats lightly as well..so that could happen and they could end up gone..I really do NOT fear them..

Agreed. I am schizophrenic about wanting to face Denver:
1. The revenge factor is great and the ol' "nobody beats us twice on our turf" is true for everyone...except against the Broncos.
2. There is not one shred of evidence that Brady has ANY ABILITY to play well in a big game against Denver. Not one. It is beyond the "BB in Manning's head" argument we used to hang our hats on until...well...he made a mockery of our secondary the last 2 times out.

From an X and O point of view...they can stop our run (as they did the first game). We have shown the abililty to adapt to different defenses, but if we go spread offense on them, how much success can we have on a consistent basis on cold, windy, maybe snowy conditions at Razor? Brady has shown no glimpse of success throwing the ball against them and turns into Bledsoe in headlights.
On defense, we have no answer for JWalker and the Bells are tough to stop. I think they are good for atleast 17points against us...can we come up with 20?
