No props for the receivers?

I saw a lot of great catches today, low balls, balls behind them etc.

Of course Thomas had a great game and a great TD catch. And we expect Troy to make great adjustments.

But Childress comes in cold makes a great catch and isn't even in the stat sheet, (2).

Kight, Caldwell and Gaffney made some great adjustments also.

Is it because Deion dropped 4 passes, or the receiver and QB tilted Colts lost to the Texans?

Y'all love to slam the receivers, how about a little credit for a change?

Sure no problem as soon as you take back the Vinni comment and give credit to J Mcd. It works both ways you know. I don't see how you can slam Mcd then want props for the WR.

Yt was a big team win and yes, the receivers did great..there were all kinds of balls thrown low, high and to the side...as well as right at them. The short game was working great and a new weapon was unveiled...D Thomas..just when they thoughht they didn't have to worry about TEs with Ben out!!!

People seem to "remember" Brady throwing long bombs all the time, but he took years to develop that with the receivers who left.

No mistake, no turnovers a solid defensive game, that's the foundation.

A couple TD bombs here and there are the cherry on top.

My sentiments, exactly. When an offense has so many guys who can catch and hold onto balls that are coming at them from so many different angles and such, that's great concentration and preparation on the part of the receivers. Natural talent can get you separation, but it is cool head and mental preparation that makes the reception. Good job receiving corps !!

You can count me in for giving the receivers full props. Brady was getting roughed up all game and many of his throws were off. But the receiving core gave him one of his finest games of the year.

With this kind of offense established, we can contend.

I don't care who is calling the plays, I just care that they continue to do what they've been doing the past two weeks.

The receivers were great. Gaffney is coming along rather nicely. I can't believe no one picked this guy up right away after the Eagles released him.

That's what they are supposed to do. That's just doing their job. We haven't seen them do that with any kind of consistency all season. About time guys stepped up and met their QB half way. I really like Thomas because after the game he mater of factly said just that. Good receivers have to make plays for a great QB, period.

Another guy I'd love to see get into the action is, of course, Jackson. He's got talent on loan; hope his head can get into it as well; so far, unproven.

He's a rookie and missed training camp, basically. I bet he gets a fly pattern or two, but I wouldn't expect a lot of action. Veterans are ahead of him and it's the playoffs.

I thought the receivers done a great job on sunday - outstanding catches from throws that werent always 'on-the-money'.

Thats what team work is all about - in that instance the WR/TE's help Brady out - then with the extra confidence gained he gives em a chance to make a play in the endzone.

I have no idea what happened to the whole team in the Denver game last year, but this team neraly always brings 100% focus and clutch playmaking ability to the real big statement games.

The receviers had their best day. Brady was off target many, many times; but the receivers cam through with circus catches. One could say that they just did their job. If that is the atttude, then it is Brady's JOB to throw better.

BTW, TWELVE receivers caught passes.

Recievers deserve their props... but let's not lose sight of the fact that the playcalling is what truly helped.

A spread offense, utilizing multiple receivers, often going no huddle is what McDaneils employed - and it was very effective in covering up the fact that we have little to no deep threat - and in fact allowed Thomas to get open and make a long catch on occasion.

THAT'S the type of playcalling I've been hoping for all season in criticizing McDaniels. That's NOT the type of playcalling he's utilized in so many games, which has made things so frustratingly inconsistent this season.
