Is there any doubt in the world that Tom Brady is the best QB in the national football league? The average football fan will look at his play today and say he dink and dunked all day never really throwing a pass longer than 25 yards. An experienced football person would look at this performance and compare it to a surgeon meticulously performing a critical surgery.

Pay very close attention to this special player. You are watching the equivalent of Ted Williams, Bobby Orr and Bill Russell to his perspective sport and it won’t last forever.

I remember some pundit saying--after SB39--that, if Brady had retired right then and there, no coherent argument could possibly be made for keeping him out of Canton on the first ballot. Despite all the putative woes of this team the last two seasons, that hasn't changed:

* No team has won more games than the Patriots since Brady was handed the keys.
* The Brady-led Patriots are 37-7 on or after Thanksgiving.
* The Brady-led Patriots are 60-2 when leading at halftime, and 64-1 when leading after three quarters. [Those alone are among the most remarkable NFL stats ever.]

The helmet in the back was possibly the most worrying hit ive seen a Patriots player take in quite awhile.

The 'sack sandwich' was another crushing blow.

I think the guy is probably the toughest QB in the NFL.

Worship fest....oh my aching head. Are you the type of person who complains about a wonderful meal with family or friends just because the waiter was 3 minutes late with your glass of wine? Or are you one of those Borges types that thought Drew got a bad shake?

Tom Brady is the sole reason why they won this game. You will always see a couple of inaccurate passes when you line up in the shotgun and throw the ball 85% of your plays.

The man is a living legend. He is the one reason I think this team can go deep into the playoffs.

One of the guys was teaching is 10 year old son about football and was making him watch Tom Brady and saying things like "watch how me moves around in the pocket away from the defense" and "he always finds the open guy. That was like his fourth read and he found the guy." On the innaccurate passes, like the overthrows, he would turn to the Pats fans in the section and say things like "you can't really blame Brady for that one, he had Henderson and Stroud in in face and had to throw over them"

I was just amazed at how amazed the away fans were with Brady and how respectful they were of him. They were all just as concerned as the Patriots fans when he went down. I think Patriots fans should realize how lucky we are to have a QB like Tom Brady and appreciate him, rather than nitpicking when he played a really solid game that fans of other teams could only dream of.

Oddly even Gresh (as well as Zolak) was gushing about Tom in the post game and Andy made one of his occasional cogent observations. He suggested the next time fans watch this guy play they do just that - just watch him, and watch what he has to do these days to stay alive and get a throw off (or today keep the chains moving). All the dancing and moving and sliding he has to do knowing more often than not there is backside pressure closing in makes it impossible for him to maintain perfect mechanics on a lot of throws. It's up to his receivers to make tough plays in those situations, like Thomas did (and acknowledged he needed to) today. Some throws will sail and sometimes the arc he needs to clear defenders in and around his passing lanes will lead to uncatchable passes. But more often than not they are close enough if his receivers make plays. He's playing guts football, and they need to match his guts and determination.

After the game Belichick tore onto that field and found his QB, shook his hand and then hugged him. Belichick knows what he's asked him to do, and I've never heard Bill sound so pleased just to clinch the division.

Peyton Manning is currently the best QB in the NFL. I am a loyal Pats fan and I am glad Tom is our QB but Peyton is by far the best QB in the NFL. If we had Peyton this year on our team we would have at least two more wins.

Tom played great today but it doesn't erase his performance against Denver, Indy, Jets or Miami this year. A couple of play off wins this year will do it for me.

How about Mannings performances in losses to Dallas, Tennessee and Jacksonville? Manning is the best pure passer in the league, and it doesn't hurt to have an expensive offense assembled around him including pro bowl linemen and 2 #1 WR's pulling down $15M+ between just the two of them. You think Peyton could make do with a rag tag crew of cast offs, practice squad players and rookies? Dream on.

Sorry, didn't mean to be a wet blanket. He made some great throws, particularly to Graham and Thomas.

But he also had to rush as many times as Dillon and I don't think we want that every game.

The receiving corps has been much maligned, but they all made some great catches on really short passes and there was not much YAC because of it.

I guess me and the announcers were the only ones to notice this. And I believe I saw him overthrow a wide open Troy Brown by ten feet, but maybe that was only me too.

Bottom line, great controlled drives, patience and poise. He certainly was careful with his throws and that might have influenced the placement sometimes.

His receivers deserve a lot of credit as I don't remember many drops and they had to make adjustments sometimes.

Yes, he's the best QB in football, no doubt.

My concern was after the shoulder hit? Brady threw a poor throw on 3rd and long to Brown. Was his shoulder tightening up. After the hit, he threw a pass to Graham, and then was on the sideline for a good amount of time, while Jax marched down for a TD. AFter the hit, we ran 6 offensive plays, 4 were runs, which is markedly different than the slice and dice passing attack we had seen prior to the hit.

This is a perfect example of how spoiled this generation of fans have become. It's no wonder you can hear a pin drop at Gillette stadium.

The Patriots are 11 - 4 and just won the division for the 5th time in 6 years. Isn't that enough to do it for you?

What do you want the pats to do? It was either run, have brady pass with a sore shoulder and back or have cassel throw. It was third and long, he ahd to throw.

The guy showed he's legendary by throwing on the sidelines 2 minutes after it happened like he never got hit. He typifies patriots football with mental and physical toughness. We're lucky to have those traits in the most important postion which trickles down to the 53 roster spot.

I don't agree with having two more wins. Manning nearly lost to both the Broncos and Jets and had to win it on last drives, which he did as I gave him credit for. So the question is..... is it Brady's fault on receivers fumbles? I would say the high throws were his fault.

It's yet to be seen how Fins plays next week against the Colts.

and not to mention the crybaby colts getting PI calls. it would interesting to see how things would have been if the colts never influenced rules changes(points of emphasis).
