Week 3 Pats at Bills television coverage
By: John Morgan

Don't shoot the messenger: the Pats-Bills game will be aired on just six U.S. television stations other than ones in New England and northern New York....

Lucky for me Pittsburgh is getting the Pats game.

At least for now.

damnation. well, Mercury Bar here I come.

TV maps for this week?

I can never find these on my own

Really? That's a bit surprising to me. I suppose it's due to the PIT game being on Sunday night, the CIN game being outside the conference etc. But I would've guessed that the MIA/CLE game would have been the one due to the divisional games we're stuck seeing here in Pittsburgh.

I have Directv anyway, but anytime I don't have to be stuck at home is even better. Now I can watch it wherever. Nice find :rocker:

Once Manning was found to be out of the game, this game should have been aired at 4:00 instead of us watching a beatdown of Collins who may not make it through 4 quarters this week.

Funny how the commercial plugging this game says "Ben Roethlisberger and the defense of the Steelers to Indy to face the Colts who are defending their home turf"

Doesn't sound like the Colts are giving the network much to excite fans over, defending their home field??? :)

Wow, I can't remember the last time I heard of a network not using somebody's name to promote the game; it's always something like "(most well known player or coach) and the (name of team) face the (adjective) (name of team) led by (name of player)", or something similar. I'm surprised they didn't go with either "Reggie Wayne and the Colts" or "Dallas Clark and Indianapolis", or something like that.

So the Fox maps make sense. But the CBS maps don't. They always show a single map for two time slots, as if no CBS station can show more than one game on Sunday.

And The Bear's Den in Hershey, here I come.

Funny thing, my brother in law & nephew down in Charlottesville VA will be able to stay at home to watch the game. But if it gets ugly for us (i.e.: the offense doesn't score 40+), at least I can leave the bar & go home.

If Manning isn't back, I can see the Pats/Colts night game later this season being flexed to an afternoon game.

Anyone know a website that will be streaming the Pats Bills game online today for free?

Each week (with the exception of Week 17) one network can broadcast two games (referenced as having the 'doubleheader' or 'DH' that week) and the other network can only broadcast one game in each market.

So yes, CBS can indeed only show one game today. Next week it will be reversed: CBS will show two games (and therefore CBS will have two maps) while Fox will only show one game (and have one map).

mod edit: sorry, we can't link to sites that violate copyright laws ...

No flex scheduling this week. ;)

When FOX has the doubleheader, they can't.

To be fair, it's not always in prime time. . . . Heck, it wasn't in 2007.
