Did DGronk just get cut?

If Dan Gronkowski is gone, it will remind us this is a cruel business. Right before a homecoming in Buffalo. #Gronkd


Patriots TE Dan Gronkowsk was not on the Injury Report. I believe that means his roster spot is gone. Look for a move tomorrow

I always thought his spot was marginal at best.

Didn't he have a bad penalty last Sunday?

Perhaps the team wants to sign Mills with Hernandez going down?

He did have a false start. I wondered about the signing. I wish we'd kept Yeatman on the 53. We could promote Mills, but he doesn't offer a lot from a blocking stand point.

Sucks for the Gronks. Sometimes I wonder why Belichick is such an overt a**hole.

I mean... obviously the player who fills his roster spot is going to be completely insignificant for this game and probably his whole tenure here. So why not just keep Gronk for this game? And why do it LAST minute?

I remember hearing in Rex's post-game press conference last week that Plax hadn't caught a pass all game yet was really, really important to them in the run game and drawing coverage on long routes. So Rex made sure to specifically try to get him a pass late in the game (when the game was clearrrly already over). I find that cool, and what a "player's coach" should do.

I mean, I know Belichick did the Flutie drop-kick and there's other similar instances... but in general, he makes a lot of moves where you're just scratching your head as to why he wants to be such a **** lol

I wasn't a fan of the signing. Not only is he a marginal player, but there's the whole dynamic of having his brother on the team. I wonder how Rob is taking it, especially as he'll be playing before family and friends this weekend. The whole TE situation has been very curious this year.

I don't think he did this to be a jerk or anything, its just that with all the injuries over the course of the last week we have different needs than we had when we signed him.

It is simply the curse of the bubble.

Maybe that's the move we're making! I just hope it isn't a holodeck game ...

Maybe he ends up on the shadow roster all season unless someone wants him? It's a tough business but I'm sure Gronk knew he was lower than the 50th player on the roster.

The same guy has kept Kettani on the PS despite the fact that he showed absolutely nothing in preseason, presumably just because he went to Navy.

You can't be nice to everyone in this business.
