Maroney, Jackson (soon), Thomas, Gostkowski, O'Callaghan & Wright(FA)

6 NFL caliber players from 1 draft ... and the team keeps rolling.

This kid can play ... great hands ... we have 3 excellant receiving TE's.

Wright played last year. I don't see Jackson doing anything this year. Gaffney has surpassed him.

i think he came with good reviews in the draft...he was the leading receiver in the rose bowl last yr

David Thomas........................After today thats all i have to say, two beautiful catches that won the game for us.

* Based on Thomas's short resume it's too bad Watson doesn't have as good a pair of hands as he does. It appears David can catch anythying in his reach.

Great game by Thomas, almost all of his catches were huge for us.

He may have better hands for a TE than Ben Coates...not saying he will be a Coates ... just unbelievable soft pair of hands for a TE and his speed is not to shabby. He will keep Watson on his toes for sure. I won't compare him to Graham because Graham is an A+ blocker and his catches are just a diversion.

Why isn't he used more then????

I do agree that he has "good hands"...

I said he has hands of glue. He caught everything Vince Young threw his way last year.

i think thomas had a reputation of making tough catches even in college..good possesion player is what i heard..iam just glad he turned out to be one more guy brady trusts..

Great game for the youngerster.......I see a very bright, bright, bright future for our young TE......What a beautiful catch in the end zone......GO PATS:rocker:

I signed up when you guys drafted Thomas..I'll say it again, I never saw him drop a pass in 4 years at Texas. He's a complete TE.

My folks live in Austin and I got to see a couple of Longhorns games at D. Royal Stadium over the past 3 years...Thomas was a guy who always stood out, even with all of the sick weapons Texas had on offense when he was there.

Was glad to see them grab him, and happy to see him have such a strong game today!

Thomas looks great and his dimensions are similar to Graham/Watson coming out of college. Maybe he has less size potential, I don't know, but he has been blocking fairly well and will be able to bulk up at least a little. There's no reason he won't be at least an average blocking TE and a well above receiving one.

Did you see the throw by brady? He put that thing right where only one player can have a catch at it at all. Not only that the throw was so nice. Brady had to drop the ball into the endzone, float the ball over 3 guys.
The amazing part of that catch is there was 3 jaguar players all trying to make a play.

It seems just so unfair that a rookie TE can out beat 3 players in a zone that was very important, the endzone.

I was very upset with the draft pick at first, and then I saw the highlites on yahoo (right after the draft they had highlites of every pick). What I saw was a guy who actually could be a Joe Jurivisious (sp) type receiver. He had great hands and always seemed to get open, and make something happen after the catch. I didn't see the game today, but I saw the highlites, and I'm very impressed. The most impressive part is Brady trusts him, and that should mean more passes coming his way (if he gets open).

Withe Brady feeling comfortable, and dare I saw trusting of guys like Caldwell and Gaffney, things are certainly looking up. One thing I like about Thomas, Caldwell & Gaffney, they are all 6 feet or taller.

He didn't look like an A+ blocker when Brady got sacked yesterday and the defender ran over graham on his way to #12

Thomas had a really goof block on Maroney's TD.

No one is perfect all the time, and few TE's are even put in a position of being 1 on 1 with a DE.

You would question why BB and Pioli would draft another TE on a team that was deep already at the position.

Now we know why....

Go Dave Thomas. That was a huge game you played yesterday.
