I called it earlier I believe...or maybe on my other forum...asked if a player can be fined even if no penalty called on a play...

I'm SOOO Smaht ;)

After all..it was so blatant even a blind ref should have seen it....

It should have been 75K at the very minimum.. Friggin tools in the NFL offices.

If a flag is thrown for a personal foul, but no fine is issued by the league, it's a tacit admission that the flag was unwarranted.

I think it should be required for QBs to wear a knee brace on their front leg.

Its always exposed to contact when in the pocket. We all know that Brady would've almost been hurt without having that brace on Sunday.

The ref completely blew the call. After watching some of the ticky-tac stuff that was called I have to think that crew will be barred from the playoffs....at least they should be

that piece of ****

good - should have been at least 50K though

Good. the refs were a joke in that game.

Nice to see the fine dished out, would have like to have seen a lot more. Crap officiating in this game.

If it was Sancheese getting hit...Goodell would have made sure it was $75K +

From the preseason and now regular season it really seems like the refs are worse so far than at any other time I've watched the sport. I'm not just talking about our games either. I've watched many other games and the officiating has been horrible in each one of them.

Garay Fined $15,000 for Lunge at Patriots QB Brady's Knee
By: Ian Logue

San Diego defensive tackle Antonio Garay may have escaped without a penalty after lunging at Tom Brady's knee during New England's 35-21 win over the Chargers Sunday, but the league turned around and at least hit him where it hurts....

Re: Garay Fined $15,000 for Lunge at Patriots QB Brady's Knee

Justice by the NFL sometimes occurs several days later, thank goodness that his foot was not completely planted and he was wearing a brace.

The other day heard him on the radio, said something to the effect that he should have been wearing a brace on his knee all along.. it is not going to make him any slower.

It appears the lockout and lack of offseason has hurt the refs' performance more than the guys who actually play the game. How does that happen?

This is bull. No way could a blind ref see it. Just about everyone else saw it though.
