Didn't realize he has one of the most jacked up bodies I have ever seen. Wish he could dominate on the field like he does in the weight room! Any other Patriots that should make this list? I was thinking Wes Welker has a chance considering he's pretty ripped up!

#1 on the list . . .

And I would be worried for the safety of the creator of that list. . . . GRONK isn't on it.

lol @ #1. That's priceless; either the creator of the list has no sense of irony whatsoever, or that was a brilliant commentary on the nature of his own list.

Big Vince? :D

When Gholston is #1, Clayton (former pats practice squad) is #2, and Carter is #3, you gotta wonder how they even put this list together?

Because Gholston looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane.

My thoughts exactly.. guess being a physical specimen is not necessarily the prerequisite for success in the NFL...

Hey we found one category as an NFL player that Gholston overachieved rather than underachieved.

holy crap didn't realize THIS was our practice squad RB

And yet that wasn't enough for BB to keep him on the 53. . . .

Contrast a guy like that with Woodhead. Goes to show that muscle only means so much in the NFL. Athleticism, smarts and heart mean more.

So Carter is the most Jacked guy that is actually IN the NFL!

It's also a prerequisite for getting injured, a.k.a Bob Sanders. This is why most athletes are going the route of resistance training over strength training.

Technique trumps strength every single time.

How does having muscle mass make one more likely to get injured?

How is resistance training distinctly different from strength training?

The problem with excessive weight training is that it can do serious harm, especially to joints, when taken to extremes. After a certain point, you are doing more harm than good.

For most players, they will see much better performance if they took 20% of their gym time and spent it on skills training.

Guys like Bruschi spent time on flexibility training, great for minimizing injury when a joint is forced into an "unusual" position.

While I certainly agree that skills training is very important you didnt answer my question of how resistance training is different from strength training.

I don't like when guys are too beefy
