How loud was it at Gilette today?

It was average in 319. I think people were getting frustrated about screaming on every 3rd down only for SD to get a first down basically every time.

The crowd was awesome during Drew's halftime speech. He was getting emotional. I tried to start a "make him cry" chant. It was great to see.

I found myself making a noise... watching it online...

I like to think I helped... :D

I am one loud dude so this is one of my favorite topics.

Props to what is a usually quite crowd as they did bring it. it wasnt the loudest or best crowd performance but I dont think the players have much to complain about if it were like that all the time.

While the whole the game was not the best performance Very big props for the treatment of Drew at halftime. He got a minute or even two of a loud standing ovation very touching as he seemed to get choked up and the crowd was really giving him the love. And then his speech was great and when he mentioned Myra the crowd went crazy again. Drew said "Bob's the brains of this franchise but Myra was the Heart and Soul.

Gotta love the props for Chad from the crowd (but sometimes we forget offense at work).

Which brings me to my last point can someone tell the Stadium announcers to wait until the Pats are on D to do the Accolades for the Service men and women. These guys are war heros and much deserve the love they get but can we do it at time that is advantageous :D.

PS. so I had one more point. Why do people insist on yelling down in front? there is 10 rows of people standing up in front of me just get up for a few minutes until the whole section sits. Save the down in front for when there is one guy standing being an idiot.

I've got no problem with "down in front" while we're on offense. My section (227) has it pretty good. We're all sitting while on offense (except for big plays, of course), all standing and yelling while the defense has third down and for other key defensive situations. I've been to many big games at Gillette where everyone stands most of the time. I imagine that'll be the case when Jabba Wrecks brings his Green Beans to town in a few weeks.

When the suite waiter arrived withe the caramel sundaes late in the third quarter, Muffy and I cheered with vigor. I must mention how we enjoyed the wonderful weather so much. We kept the suite sliding windows open for almost two quarters until Babs little boy, Randolph Jr. needed, too decompress from the excitement....you know those teenagers!

Ooh those sundaes, I spilled a little on my cashmere jacket, I was so excited when that big guy was running down the field.....

That is pretty much how our section works too.

I just get tired of the people getting mad at me saying down in front when there are 30 people standing in front of me. Crowds get up and down nothing can be done except stand with em if you want to see or dont if your lazy yelling down in front should be saved for when some moron is lost in space and standing without even realizing no one is standing in front of him.

I was there..it was pretty loud .... i was shouting at the top of my voice and can barely talk now.... :(

It was loud from where I sat (sec 218) and 'no down in front' comments, not a one! My friends and I thought it was a very nice job from the crowd yesterday. Everyone was loud and stood up at the critical times in the ballgame.

This "joke" ran its course last year, time to move on. Easy to tell you've never been to Gillette.

I was in 218 as well..what row?

Was in 125 and it was loud sans a few random people yelling down in front, but nice that the moment of silence for MHK was actually so quiet amongst that loud a crowd

Came across energetic (people standing, clapping and cheering) on TV. This and especially the 45-3 Jets rout that I was at are proof that the RIGHT crowd can be loud at Gillette despite the stadium design (lighthouse open end, etc.) that is really bad for loud acoustics.
