I said this last week. The leaders on the team should be insulted by Bruschi trying to do their job (as in regards to Ocho). If something needs to be done with an out-of-line teammate they handle it in the locker-room just like he did when he was playing.

Eh - we should put this one to rest... Both Ocho's tweet and Bruschi's comment were all blown way out of proportion.

We know Brady's going to stick by the guys on the team no matter what - even if he might agree with Bruschi.

It was never a surprise to me that you'd see Brady favoring the guys he has experience with over someone who only started practicing with a few weeks ago.

I don't lose sight of the fact that one year ago we had a WR griping and grousing about getting so few balls thrown his way amid a win. A year later we have a WR who might not be happy about getting so few looks either - but instead he went out of his way to applaud his teammates.

I much prefer Ochocinco's approach over Moss'

I think they are insulted. Bruschi tried to infer that Ocho simply wasn't working hard enough. Everything we've heard from those who cover the team indicates that's simply not true. Ocho is working and working hard.
What I loved about TB's response today is that he was as vehement ("Bru is a great friend but he's talking out of his a#^") in his response to Bruschi as Bruschi was in his bashing of Ocho.

Good job Brady. Brady understands that negativity can deter players from being their best. Ocho seems to be slowly making his way in this offense. 2 nice catches. One was a key 3rd down conversion if I remember correctly.

He's doing exactly what he was brought in to do. He's the #3 WR. How many catches did you see Edelmann or Slater get yesterday?

Once again, the Pats were in no-huddle offense for more than half the game. They are not going to put a WR who's been here 7 weeks in that situation. That just doesn't happen.

He caught both balls thrown to him.

He's going to be fine - - and a GREAT insurance policy later on in the season when someone goes down.

You and Easterbruschi of ESPN can backstab all you want.

If Tedy wants to be consistent about the tweeting and not just picking on the guy who can give him and his ENTERTAINMENT network ratings, he'll call out Bodden (who tweets multiple times more per day than Ocho has since coming to the Pats). Hell, Bodden even tweeted that he was stepping AWAY FROM CHARGER FILM to watch the BB documentary on TV and said that coach (or "homie") wouldn't be happy about that.

But that won't happen, because Bodden does not have the "it" factor for ESPN's ratings.

I too love Tom's loyalty, although I also accept it for what it is. Tedy may or may not have a clue about a specific situation. Others aren't quite as loyal as Tom. But Tedy has certainly seen his share of situations within that locker room. And as a commentator he has both a job to do and a right to express his opinion. That is largely what former players are hired by the media to do...provide insight based on their experience.

With the exception of Tom many of the leaders on this team will be persuing opportunities in the media when their career's are over. So they aren't remotely as upset with Tedy as some here are or presume they must be...

Fully agreed.

But the question remains, why is ESPN's Employee of the Month not saying word one about Leigh Bodden (who, while less known, is a more important player to the Patriots) and his far more voluminous tweets??? - - Tweets that are a bit more questionable than Ocho's day after admiration tweet.

We all know the answer. And it isn't one that gives an aura of righteousness to Mr. Indignation.

I think it's been pretty clear that Bruschi has a personal issue with Ocho. I think you greatly overestimate the concern Tedy has for "situations in the locker room". Bruschi's only insght here is that he doesn't like Ocho. It's that simple. Bru was over the top and unfair especially when you consider how everyone reports that Ocho has worked hard from day 1 as a Patriot. I also think you greatly underestimate how much current players resent guys like Bru taking cheapshots against current players.

Yes understandable but coming from the Bengals and seeing this offense work for the first time, how did people expect him to react ?

He will work his way into this "patriot way" we speak so fondly about. He was just giving HIS team props for a job well done. People are never satisfied.
Even with Bruschi's points being made, he didn't have to scold the guy like he was some 3 year old.

To me, that made Bruschi look like the dummy in my eyes.
