This is our dream match-up and will be the most rewarding victory of the season. 5 reasons the Bolts will destroy the Cheatriots:
1) Pats defense is still the worst in the league (3 years straight now?). See Miami's first possession as Exhibit A.
2) The Bolts knew that the Vikings were an easy win and they've been game planning for the Patsies all off-season.
3) Powder Puffs Patsies are one dimensional. Put pressure on Lady Brady and they have nothing; seriously, nothing at all.
4) Belicheat wouldn't dare use cameras to cheat on us again.
5) Chargers have always owned the Patsies and always will.

Chargers - 45
Patsies - 3

-----------------------------------------------------

The other Pats games were b.b.s.

(Before Bob Sanders)

With Garay going against the Pats 2nd team center we should be able to get some pressure. If Brady goes to a quick pass and B.S. lays a big hit the game
may change quickly. We finally have 2 safeties.

I think our defense will surprise everyone. You know the Chargers are gonna have extra motivation after watching the Belicheat tribute on NFL network.

The real question is our O-line gonna step up and protect Rivers this week??? They were horrible last week.

----------------------------------------------------

Same Brady as last year. Did pretty good against him then.

--------------------------------------------------

I'm glad to see some of those on this board that were a bit overconfident in their posts in another thread come back to reality. The Pats and Packers are probably the best teams the Chargers will face all year. If you can't beat these guys or deserve to be on the field with them, you don't deserve to even go to the Super Bowl.

This is a huge game for the Chargers to finally put away the doubts about are they contenders or are they pretenders. There is no doubt this team has seriously underachieved when it mattered most. The whole emphasis this season has been to change the mindset of this team. You can't just think you are good, just winning isn't enough. Each game is a statement.

People were critical of me when I said the season starts next week. But even Acee talked about how he felt that the coaching staff was going to coach up the Vikes game as if it were a loss. They slipped by a mediocre team they should have buried before half time. If they want to become an elite team they need an attitude adjustment and I think Norv has finally awaken to that fact.

I don't think people really understand the meaning of "taking it one game at a time". I don't think the team understood it as well. What it really means is that you approach each game no matter who you are playing with a playoff attitude. Prepare mentally, to go into that game as if it was a one game elimination tourney. To play the entire season like it is the playoffs. Norv is trying to cultivate that mindset in this year's team.

This team needs to go into Foxboro, and leave it all on the field. Execute, play with passion and intensity, and eliminate stupid mental mistakes. If they do this team has the talent to matchup with any team.

Can they beat the Pats? Most certainly they can. Will they? Only if they play it like it was the Super Bowl....no one remembers the losers. This team has proven they are resilient. But now it's time to step up to the next level and become mentally tough, focused and to bring an intensity to their game that has been missing all these years. They have flashed it here and there, but now it's time to do it each and every game.

Win or lose I want to see that type of game from this team. I want to see that kind of effort each and every game this season. Then let the cards fall where they may. But if they do that, they could end up the top team in the AFC. We all know from experience that getting to the Super Bowl is meaningless unless you win it. There are no accolades for second best in the NFL.

The Chargers need to beat the Pats at their own game. They need to simply out play them. This team is capable of it. And this team needs to use this game as a statement game to the NFL....the Chargers have arrived. Anything less than making that statement, regardless of winning or losing it will be a "loss". A loss in the same way Norv and his staff are treating the Viking game as a loss.

Belichick instills that attitude in his team and they play that way. Each game is a statement game. Each game they are not only out to win but out to show they are the best. In reality the Pats don't have to prove they have "arrived" because they have been there for a long time already. This is why in a year some people thought it would be a down or transition year for them, they come out and kick the Fins butts in a game everyone knew they would win. They weren't satisfied with just winning, they had to do it in a way that makes a statement. That even coming off a down year, they have reloaded and are as dangerous as a cornered cobra.

The Chargers have everything to prove, not only to the league but to themselves. The Chargers need to grab that snake lop it's head off and throw it on the fire to serve up for dinner.

Last night Belichick showed a lot of things. He used his roster well. He could have gotten by doing less. But he is very cognizant of who he is playing next Sunday. This was intimidation and to force Norv and his staff to game plan for every contingency. This was his way of saying "I know you are out there. I know you are watching."

--------------------------------------------------------

Chargers defense is much better than the dolphins. I think the Chargers blowout New England at home.

---------------------------------------------------------

Throw Bob on Welker.. that eliminates one of their biggest weapons..
Jammer on Ocho.. I'll take that.
Cason on Branch.. I'll take that too.
Hernandez will need to be made priority.
Phillips has his side locked down..
Brady won't scratch 300 on this defense.
Bank on it.

------------------------------------------------------

Wow. Well, at least they're starting on the 6 inch line.

Go get 'em, D.

--------------------------------------------------------

time for a 99 yard drive..

---------------------------------------------

This just in...Brady has finished "War and Peace" while waiting in the pocket

---------------------------------------------------

Wow, one rational poster.....very rational, I like the cut of his gib!

The long post...at least it sounded fairly rational instead of the usual Cheatriots crap.

To be fair, there are some good, levelheaded posters there, and some were very willing to give credit to opponents making plays.

I read the end of game and post game posts and thought the exact same thing...in fact , it struck me that the SD fanbase on the whole is easlly a good 40 to 50 points higher on a standard I.Q. scale than the Green Trogs.

Is that nearly exactly like what SUPERDOUCHE was telling us?

Yeah? BITE YOUR TOUNGE! It is not fun to talk about those posters.

To be honest, I didn't get the game on TV out here in Vikingsland, and I was forced to 'watch' it on gameday while simultaneously monitoring the game thread here. From the tone of the messages, you'd have thought we were down by 30 for most of the 2nd half. Game threads are always roller coasters of emotion...and not just the other teams' threads :)

Talk about damning with faint praise. Not exactly a high baseline you're starting with.

where is that smack talking ....SDBoltz.....come on one week...and disappear for a year ....

:trolls::trolls:

Those are funny. Love going to other teams' fan forums after disaster loses for laughs and giggles.

The Chiefs fan forum is a must-read right now. Pure comedy.

I agree -- the Chargers' casual fans may be the league's worst in terms of football knowledge (and commitment). But their hardcore fans strike me as pretty intelligent and levelheaded.

Personally, I can't laugh at losing Moeaki, Berry and Charles for the season just two games in. That's awful.

I'm not laughing at the injuries. I'm laughing at how the fans are rationalizing how awful their team looks at the moment. It's not the injuries they're blaming, it's Pioli, Cassel, Haley, and everyone else.

Haley, yes.

But replacing Cassel is not the answer. Heck, even if they God forbid ended up with the #1 pick, I'm not sure that Luck would be the answer.

Charlie Weiss masked a lot of their deficiencies last year with his offense. The more time goes by, the more I appreciate Charlie. (Not to say I didn't think he was great here as well because he was awesome). He made Quinn and Clauson look like legit NFL QBs in college. He deserves a coaching gig in the NFL.
