Re: Bam to active roster

Pats1 must have been waiting in a xmas shopping line.:p

Re: Bam to active roster

I'm high on Bam - always have been - though apparently my assessment of him is different than the coaches otherwise he'd have been on the active roster far sooner than this.

Still, let's hope his contribution will help... I do think more spread formations are in order, but all receivers are also going to need to block and hit a defender before going out.

Re: Bam to active roster

Good for Bam :rocker:

Anybody else get the feeling that BB and Mcdaniels have some surprises in store for the Jag D?

Mike Reiss makes a mistake?

"A first-year player out of Ohio State, Childress has appeared in two career games with the Patriots. "

Isn't Bam a second-year player? OK, it's a tiny mistake. Let's see how long it takes him to correct it.

I don't know if he will even be on the active roster but it doesn't hurt to add a player that has experience as a WR, PR, CB and STs.

Maybe he can provide a spark, he seems to have a knack for getting open in zone coverage.

Re: Bam to active roster

Nice Xmas present to a guy that has worked very hard all year.
Whether he makes it on the field or not - his payday will get a nice bump.

Maybe he does make onto the field and actually catches some balls.....he did in pre-season.

Re: Bam to active roster

Bam is the kinda guy I love to root for. He's Troy Brown redux. Hope he gets some PT.

The Unofficial roster from Patriots.com lists Bam as a 1st year player. I believe he will be again next year since he wasn't vested last year and started from scratch again with the NFLPA this year. I don't know if he could be vested this year were he to remain active through the Superbowl...

I'm unclear - is he just on the 53 man roster or was it announced that he's on the active roster for tomorrow?

It's a big difference - though one would think they wouldn't bother putting him on the 53 man roster today if they weren't going to have him on the 45 man active game day roster... unless they just caught wind some other team had their eye on him.

Re: Bam to active roster

Game actives aren't set yet

Re: Childress promoted

I do not see what the coache's see but from his play last year against Miami and this pre-season, he will be a decent upgrade tommorrow. I strongly believe he could be a solid WR if given more opportunities. Lets hope my assumption is correct. Go Bam!
