Finished. 31 years of age this winter. Cut once already. Will have gone two consecutive years without playing a single down of football. Hope that degree in gardening ( agriculture ) pays off.

I liked Ty in his prime with the Pats. He was never the greatest, but he was usually pretty darn good, and a nice guy. My wife and I met him outside the stadium by the buses after the Pats 2007 game against the Cowboys in Dallas, Oct 14th I believe. We were on our honeymoon, got tickets to see the game and the team (including Ty) did not disappoint!

I was sad and surprised to see him get cut. But now it looks like it was the right move for the Pats in hindsight. Best of luck to him.

He was great when he was healthy but it looks like it was a smart move to cut him.

It's a Biz.
Teams who hang on to players for "ole time sake" End up being 0-16

It was Ty's doing.
Can't show up for camp out of shape and not increase the probability of injury out of proportion.

His injury is one you get no matter how you show up at camp. Ted Johnson had the same thing happen with his biceps.

True, but Ted showed up in shape and when he was supposed to. That one time excepted, however. :D

What a waste of money for Denver, Ty robbed them.

Yeah, the way he set it up so that all he had to do was pop his triceps and then party 24/7.......

How do you rob someone if you come up with a different injury???

The average lifespan of an NFL Player is something like 4 years, stuff happens in the NFL...

i wish him well - good luck Ty !

i was able to met him after London game

he was very kind - we made a photo together too

all the best, again !
