They should have always started pat downs from the ankles in any case. There are actually people bothered by this? It's a non-story, the way I see it.

Some of us just LOVE having those rough, burly hands moving up and down our trembling bods, big fella! ;)

Me thinks that They don't like tasers being brought in to the stadium

Typical over-reaction by The Man. We were joking about this at the job the other day...joking about it.
It'll make me feel safer, though. I can't tell youz how many times I worried myself sober that someone was trying to sneak a tazer into Gilette.

How about a "Free Taser Give-A-Way Day" at Gillette when the Jets come to town. See a Jet Fan - Zap the Bas*ard.

All in good fun of course. Anybody who lights up Ryan gets bonus points.

You're on to something, an Officially Licensed NFL taser with Pats logo and an extra Jet fan setting for a few dollars more.

Yet another reason to stay home and watch the game.

As a general rule of thumb, I avoid patdowns unless absolutely unavoidable. Mostly on principle, so I probably won't be going to any football games anytime soon.

When you have 70,000 people going to the same place at the same time, it's physically impossible to stop them from bringing weapons or anything else into a stadium. It would take a ridiculous amount of time to actually search them. The winter games are even worse. With all the extra clothes people have on, the pat-downs are even less effective. It would be easy to sneak a rocket launcher in there!

I do not think a reasonable pat down is a bad thing at all.

It may help deter someone with bad intentions.

It may lead to security actually finding that person with bad intentions.

Would this be 100% were that person trying to enter with the rocket launcher, probably not - but it sure is better than nothing.

The tase should leave the logo behind.

PS Dont tase me bro

NFL announces that they're gonna enhance the pat downs for fans from above the waist to starting at the ankles thanks to the moron with the taser. If they had the cheerleaders doing this, I and lesbian Pats fans would be OK with it. Since I'm not at Sunday's game, let me know how it goes, people.

Coming to an NFL stadium near you: “Enhanced” pat downs | ProFootballTalk

The moron with the taser was at the Cowboys-Green Beans game. I blame Wrecks Ryan for this. He warns against visitors wearing opposing teams' colors so a Cowboys fan brings a taser to protect himself. The Jets fan probably deserved getting tasered but now we all have to pay for it. Idiots.

I'll be honest: I don't know anything about Pat Downs, although the "enhanced" part sounds pretty badass. Can he rush the passer?

if only.

there's gold in them thar hills.

No kidding. Can you imagine the $$$demand for an Officially Licensed NFL Oakland Raiders Shiv?

better yet an old school LA Raider Uzi or sawed off
