Video: Bruschi Criticizes Ochocinco, stands by it
By: Derek Havens

A look into Tedy Bruschi's criticism and the former Patriots linebacker shares his thoughts on the aftermath Thursday. ...

Bruschi is 100% right. I hate how people THINK he's just trying to get attention or he's doing some slimy ESPN crap.

He's being totally honest and real.

Breaking News: E!SPN analyst makes himself the story.

I love Tedy, but he plays for E!SPN now.

Tedy:
“I was expecting almost an immediate response from this,” Bruschi said. “Since that tweet, there hasn’t been anything else from Chad. There’s just been sort of like a radio silence. Is he just focusing on San Diego, which he should be right now? I think that maybe he’s starting to get the message.”

Wow, Tedy! Heads I win, tails you lose, eh? Congratulations!

Seriously... what a jerk.

Yep!! The great myth promoted by the mediots is that Bruschi was/is some beloved figure in the Patriot locker room. Uhhh nope!
He and Vrabel were quite the obnoxious set of twins.
The boys could play but they weren't on everyone's favorite teammate list.

WHAT?!? A jerk?!? Are you kidding me? This is Full Tilt, Full Time Tedi Bruschi and he deserves your respect. He's been there, he knows what he's talking about.

I don't mind Chad being in awe of this offense, but I think Bruschi's absolutely right. I checked Chad's twitter earlier today and noticed that he's only tweeted once since Bruschi's chastisement and I had the same thought: "Maybe he's getting it." I love 85, but I think he still has a ways to go in his development and understanding of the system. Close your mouth and open your playbook. There will be plenty of time to be Chad the Entertainer later.

I was expecting almost an immediate response from this. I knew there would be some incorrigible homer Bruschi fan that would never believe it. They will always be the same... never get the message. \sarcasm

See what I mean? He may not be a jerk but he is very much acting like one right now.

LOL Some of you are UNBELIEVABLE.

There is a difference between a jerk and someone who is outspoken and honest.

Bruschi was telling Chad to join in and be a part of Brady's amazing performance, and not to stand on the sidelines in awe.

Gawds, I've had enough of this rubbish. It's becoming a distraction.

It's in Bruschi's interest to say what he did, in his current capacity as a blah-blah-blah.

HOWEVER, Chad is doing his job, by all accounts. I've neither heard nor read anything from Coach's mouth that would indicate otherwise to date.

Chad made a catch last Monday night. That's his job. To catch the ball, when it comes his way. He might have had a TD, as well (got mugged on that play IMHO) but the catches and TD's will happen. Will he make super-star numbers? Who cares, as long as he knows his role and does his job. Just like Slater, and Edelman, and every other player on the 53.

Tweet yourself silly, Chad. I don't read 'em and I don't care, as long as you're productive.

Yeah, Bruschi, Vrabel and Rodney really sucked and you can throw in McGinest too. If we'd only had some competitors back then we might have gone somewhere.

What's important is that everybody likes you.

Bruschi comes off much better in this segment. His comments are placed in much better context. I appreciate that he added this amendment. He came off like a mediot dope yesterday in his rant, no better then half the people we watch on BSPN and HATE.

Had he taken the time to frame his initial answer this way, it would have been much better received. We all love and are pretty forgiving, but to the rest of the football world, he came off, just listening to the rant, a little bit like a d-bag former player.

It was very much his TJ "they hate their coach" moment.

Hearing him and Rodney Harrison talk about their thoughts on the word, "awe"' you almost have to wonder whether that particular phrase hit a nerve with past patriots. I wouldn't be surprised if they were repeatedly taught that no oneperson was ever above the team, and to act otherwise was against the patriot way. By Chad saying he was in awe of Brady was almost an affront to what they stood for as Patriots and devalued what they did with the team.

Again, I've asked you this before--what are you referring to?

P.E.D.--as in "play every down?"

Or......P.E.D.--as in "player enhancing drugs?" (due to the Harrison context)

Please explain :)
