RUMOR: ocho pushed to learn our O faster

Wow... leave it to the Boston and National Media to create a locker room issue for the Pats.

We need Ocho to be a productive member on the team, and it's like the local media is trying to ensure he wants out.

Of course he hasn't responded Greg, don't be foolish. He has now been told to do his responding on the field.

Respond on the field. Your play is the only thing that will shut anyone up.

I am pulling for 85, I really am. I am sure I must have said years ago on this forum that I want 85 as much as TO.

As time went on, we got to know Chad a bit more. He is harmless and a good soul. I don't think he is a genuinely mean person.

Chad, I hope you respond. Work hard and if it does not work out, you can never say it was because of a lack of effort.

An honest effort is all Patriots fans can ask for...

Too much piling on by the media imo. Give him his space and give him time to get in sync with the offense. Yes, it's possible that the Ochocinco era doesn't work out in new england. But it's also possible that he becomes a key player for us down the road so let's not count him out already after just 1 week.

He needed to be taken to task by someone like Bruschi (I wouldn't be surprised if someone on the team put Bruschi up to it), but now everyone is just doing the me-too thing. We'll see how he responds; I'm guessing he has a monster game on Sunday.

Twitter will go out of business without Ocho.

could it have been Brady? hmm???:)

This will all work out for the best in the end. There is no such thing as a Pats fan that doesn't want a Patriot to succeed. We're all in the same camp here.

It just means we want his help ASAP.

I still believe in Chad. I think Brady will try hard to get him the ball on Sunday

I guess you don't even need an "anonymous" source theese days, you just make it up.

I called 98.5 last night I was on around 9:30 or 40 ish. I was @ my desk I wish I had made a small outline of Ocho statements. I said what I had to say. My call was premised around Backing Bruschi's comments on 85

I wish I could have included the "this is not your sons football or hockey team Ocho is a proffesional and he should be able to handle harsh criticism"

I also wanted to include "how soft a lot of people are at making excuses for him and how ppl claimed Bruschi was too blunt" He was not out of line and I commend Bruschi for his attack.

I wish I wrote my thoughts down in an outline

If he needed to be taken to task it would have been by someone on the team. How would Bruschi like it if Ty Law was popping off in the media about guys on the team after he left? I know Ted considers himself a Patriot still but he isn't. He would want it dealt with in the locker room if he was there and it should be dealt with in the locker room with him gone.

To me Brushci getting involved is an insult to the leaders on the team now, like they don't know how to police their own and need him to do it.

The Scrizz;2684907To me Brushci getting involved is an insult to the leaders on the team now said:
Meh. Bruschi's got to stay interesting in order to stay on the air. I don't know why everyone is getting all in a twist about it. Ocho will either get the offense and get more involved, or he won't, no matter what anyone says, including Bru.

While Ocho should be able to handle Bruschi's comments that doesnt mean he should have made them. By all accounts Ocho's work ethic has been second to NONE since he's been with the Pats, how much does Bruschi really expect from a guy who joined the team 6 weeks ago?

This again may be a case of overreaction. Whether the Pats think he should be more along with the playbook or not, they most likely are going to push him to pick up the playbook a lot faster. It wasn't like Rapaport said the coaches are frustrated with his ability to pick up the playbook just that they want him to tighten his learning curve.

I said it before and I will say it again, I will be worried about Ochocinco if he is struggling in October or November. It took Gaffney ten weeks to get the offense, Ochocinco has had about 5-6 weeks.

Really?

Another BS Ocho Cinco thread?

This is bad as all the Merriweather ones.

Can a mod merge them all, preferably in a thread that resides in the Practice squad.

Put Taylor Price in ffs!!

I certainly would like more contribution from Ohco but it has been one game. If we get to the third or fourth game and his level of participation is still at the level it was in Miami, then cut him and use the roster spot for a player that will contribute.
