Awesome! There were a few new bits in that extended trailer. I cannot wait for tomorrow!

FWIW, on Thursday Colin Cowherd will be interviewing the producer of A Football Life, who also does Hard Knocks. . .

It's interesting to see Robert Kraft go up to Richard Seymour and ask him "Do you like this team?".

I'm sure it wasn't the first or last time he said anything like that to Seymour. He was obviously fishing for information and feeling out Seymour to see how contract negotiations would go.

Kraft probably got the sense that Seymour wasn't going to re-sign, and that's why they traded him that same summer before the season started.

Brady and Wilfork. That's why Seymour was traded.

From what I have heard about this it seems as though there is a ton of interesting info. I am excited, and won't even watch the trailer, as not to spoil anything ;)

What's even better, is there will be a part 2 next week to look forward to all over again!

So it's the 2009 season, not 2010 that was videotaped as they showed Seymour talking to Mr. Kraft and he says it's his 9th season. Why not show it last year? Did it really take a year and a half to get it edited???

Security reasons.

Shhhh.

Yeah. But players take hometown discounts and can find ways to make things work. I'm sure Kraft was poking around to get a feel for Seymour's side of negotiations.

Perhaps if Seymour responded with "I love playing in New England. I want to retire here" he wouldnt have been traded before the season began.

They didn't get the green light to release the footage last year.

Yeah, Richard "holdout" Seymour was going to take a hometown discount.

I'm not saying he's wrong, he has every right to seek as much money as he thinks he's worth, but if the Pats thought they couldn't resign him without compromising their ability to keep other players, it probably was the right move.

Maybe it was. Maybe it wasn't.

*shrug*.

I was just pointing out that it was interesting to see Kraft talking with him and asking him "Do you like this team?"...... In a sense, it shouldve been a warning sign to Seymour.

Kraft clearly wasn't asking Richard if he liked playing for his team, he was asking him if he liked (the makeup of) this team (2009 roster). I believe he answered in the affirmative.

.... ofcourse he didnt come right out and ask him.

It's called fishing for information.

Our 2009 roster wasnt drastically different than our 2008 roster. Kraft was obviously poking around, trying to get a feel for where Seymours head was at.

I think Bill deserves a bigger fishin' boat...hopefully he could call it VI Rings...or maybe Brady should buy him one and have it named The Next Ring.

Does anyone know of anywhere online where I could watch this tonight since I don't have NFL Network?...

I totally understood and agreed with the trade of Seymour. Thought the same about Branch. In hindsight, I'm now against both trades. The money is tehre for these guys. Granted, I would not be in favor of Raider money to Seymour, but Wilfork +? I think he would have signed.

I also think they would have gotten Solder regardless, but it may have cost them a Dowling + Vereen.

Looking back, 3 or 4 years of Branch >>> 3 or 4 years of Meriweather.
3 years of Seymour >>> Dowling (maybe not, this remains to be seen). I focus on Dowling instead of Solder because the Patriots traded away future picks.

I can't wait to see this! He is one heck of a coach!
