John Hannah suing Brady? Patriot on Patriot!

For crying out loud.
Can we have one damn season of peace and no friggin distractions. Every damn season something pops up. These fools waited for the damn season to start before they put this crap together. What a joke, and this is a joke. The only reason Brady's name is being used is because he is the biggest name in the NFL. Why didn't they include Drew Brees and Manning? Weren't they involved in that law suit too?

Well...I think they do have a case...

Except that the crux of their argument (from what I read) is that the NFLPA couldn't bargain for them because it wasn't a union at the time. The NFL and NFLPA made it very clear that nothing needing a union was decided until after they recertified as a union.

But I'm no lawyer so I don't really have any idea.

There's something wrong here: how is it that Brady and Vrabel are the ONLY individual plaintiffs named?

As a case in point: the complaint specifically mentions comments made by Drew Brees, another plaintiff in the antitrust case . . . who isn't a plaintiff here. WTF?

[IANAL, but I wouldn't be surprised if Brady and Vrabel get dropped on some sort of technical grounds; the complaint says the venue is correct because Brady "can be found in, has an agent, or transacts business in the District of Minnesota." But then why isn't Brees listed, given that he will play in Minnesota in December?]

That's pretty much why I clicked on this thread too, to find out exactly why only Brady and Vrabel were named as defendants.

I can sort of understand Brady (I guess), but Vrabel? Isn't he 'one of them' now that he's retired? I am curious to hear someone's explanation.
