Raw Sewage: Ron Borges

It's pretty simple: if you don't care for Borges (or any other sports writer), don't read him; it's not as if it's impossible to avoid him.

Need help with alternate suggestions? Off the top of my head there is Mike Reiss, Ian Rapoport, Karen Guregian, Greg Bedard, Shalise Manza-Young, Monique Walker, Jeff Howe, Michael Hurley, Erik Frenz, Christopher Price, Kirk Minihane, Mike Petraglia, Tom Curran, Mary Paoletti, Mike Giardi, Nick Underhill, Jim Donaldson, Mark Farinella, Jennifer Toland, Rich Garven, Erik Scalavino, Andy Hart, Paul Perillo, the half dozen or so that write here, and probably a dozen or more at other local sites I forgot about.

It's not like Borges is the only person who writes about the Pats. If you're going to be angry then you should be mad at yourself for reading a column by a writer that you have already decided that you didn't like, when you literally had dozens of other choices.

Who's "angry"? I have yet to read one post in this thread that can be described as "angry".

That being said, ridicule for him is rampant. "Ridicule" is not "anger"

In fact, methinks it is closer to "mirth". ;)

What Borges fans like you fail to realize ~ because you like to fantasize that we actually READ Borges's filth ~ is that we DON'T.

It's hard to miss the HEADLINES, though...isn't it??

And just because we don't actually READ his sewage anymore doesn't obviate our right to point and laugh at him...and YOU.

Borges is now in complete "stopped watch" mode. He is broken, just like a stopped watch and his only hope is, like a stopped watch, it will tell the correct time, twice daily. Borges keeps hanging on to the hope that sometime in the distant future, the Pats WILL experience a truly bad season under his watch.

The sad pathetic truth of Ron Borges is that he now just a poser who the media rolls out to tweak the fans and create "good media". He has been SO dead wrong about everything to do with the Pats for over a decade. Never has a so called "Insider" with HIS record of COMPLETE whiffs, been rewarded with this much media face time. Asking Borges about what he thinks of the Pats is like asking Ben Rothlessberger his opinion on Quantum Physics. Both have the exact same qualifications to offer

Someone remind me again, how did our old, decrepit QB do last night? Was he able to put aside his walker long enough to do anything.

......... Oh, he threw for a career 517 yards and 4 TD's? Never mind.

I think I'll pass on reading that POS.

Technically speaking... aren't all quarterbacks "aging"?

Let me write an article: McDonald's relies on aging fry cooks.

Brady, like all human beings- is aging right before our very aging eyes.

Borges is an aging fool.

Well, then please enlighten us mere mortals how gods like you can evaluate and dissect an entire column from simply reading a five-word headline; that's a skill I would love to learn! Silly me, here I was thinking that there was more substance in articles than in headlines; think of all the time I'll save from now on. For that matter, there's no point in reading any comments on this message board; just read the thread titles!

By the way, your clairvoyant abilities may be slipping; I'm not a Borges fan, simply because his constant harping against Belichick and ownership is old, stale and predictable. I just don't understand the need for so many people here to start a thread every week or so on whatever the latest thing that he (or Shaugnessy, or Felger, or Gasper, or someone on another fan forum) just wrote or said.

Also, I did indeed read the article; the only reason that I did or was even aware of it was due to the link you yourself provided. And I'm guessing that I was not the only one; Borges thanks you for the clicks and page views you created for him.

Why do you guys continue to read his stuff if you hate him so much? :confused2:

Borges is actually a very smart man. He gets plenty of people to buy the paper to read his articles so they can complain on message boards. The guy is a money maker.

I don't hate him. I LOVE that guy. Makes life interesting and more enjoyable for BB to have a foil. Especially one so off his gyroscope!

While we are at it, thank God for Rex Ryan, Bill Polian, Marshall Faulk, Terrel Suggs, etc.

How boring it would be if the Patriots had no trash talking adversaries! If the NFL and media were completely vanilla hushed respect, I guarantee you there would be hundreds less members at this website and much less to talk about.

Borges exists purely for the derision and amusement of others.

There's a word for that:

CLOWN.

As for those who actually still read ~ and, amusingly: defend ~ that sewage he keeps churning out: it might be time for a self assessment. ;)

I think Wrong just found some quotes from a press pool and constructed a phony article around them. I can't imagine BB talking to him personally.

The real news is that Borges has done not one but two relatively postive pieces on the Pats (after the aging QB article). In all three, the real news is that he reports on a phone interview with BB. If true, the fact that BB took his phone call and actually listened and responded to Borges queries is remarkable. BB has a long memory and is unlikely to forget that Borges has done a hatchet job on BB often quoting dissident players like Adalius Thomas or Seymour.

So if BB actually spoke to Borges, does this mean the old BallCoach is becoming more forgiving in his old age? And isn't it smack of Borges seeking to ingratiate himself with Pats Fans by showing that BB and he are phone buddies?

Tom Brady has THREE Super Bowl rings...

until John Elway was 37, he had ZERO

Elway has two rings

Not sure how this Bogus logic tree works....
