Pre-Game Thoughts: Patriots at Dolphins

Pre-game thoughts are I'm so freaking excited to have football back. Watching the other teams is nice but they're not our Patriots.

I'll wake up tomorrow and after a few short hours the Pats will be on TV. Brilliant.

I have no idea about this game tonight because I have no idea which Patriot team is going to show up, the one who played the Bucs or the one who played the Lions. So looking forward to seeing the new guys (Ellis, Haynsworth, Ocho etc) and the rookies but I don't think any of us know what to expect. That's what makes it fun!

I think this game will come down to whether the OL can protect Brady long enough for him to make plays and GAIN/MAINTAIN confidence. Our loss in 2007, as well as losses in recent playoff games come down to primarily Brady being pressured early and often and not allow him to gain confidence and rhythm...and he goes into that glazed over/bummed out look. We also need to see what rush will look like, how well secondary gels....and whether or not we can establish a running game. Tons of questions right now....I'm nervously optimistic...!

Our TE's will rip it up. TFB will have a solid game and Solder has an impressive 1st game as a pro @ RT. Our running game excels b/c our passing game is successful and vice versa will happen once we come out gunz blazin in the passing game.

Hernandez will be uncoverable and GRONK the GREAT will have a TD and pick up key 1st downs

I am eagerly awaiting this game. I am skipping my new class that goes from 7PM-9:30PM tonight HELL no will I miss our 1st game of the season

thnx for sucking Romo you screwed us last night. You just needed a FG dude but u fumbled b/c you thought you could get a TD.

we win this game tonight and we will feel jubilant at the end

Behind Scenes Video & Photos of Evelyn Lozada Interview with the Boston Herald

Lozada says she’s looking forward to sharing a roof with her man for the first time — and meeting reigning Patriot royalty Tom Brady [stats] and Gisele Bundchen.

“I’m not opposed to a double date. I’d invite them out,” she said, noting she’s been asking Ochocinco whether he’s spotted Mrs. Brady at practice. “We’re hoping to bring some flavor and fun to Boston. Maybe it could be Tom, Gisele, Evelyn and Chad take over Boston. That would be cool.”

Lozada, who has an 18-year-old daughter, and Ocho, who has four kids, are planning on expanding their family with twin boys, already named Pepe and Esteban, through IVF. They’ve made the deposit — monetary and genetic — and are just waiting to make their liaison legal.

“The twins are waiting for me,” she said. “That’s the great thing about in vitro. You can plan rather than having an oopsie.”

I want to see a defense that can get off the field after 3rd down. No excuses for the defense this season BB.

Protect Brady

I'd love to see a sadistic smile from Haynesworth and Wilfork when the line up over the Guards/Centre tonight!

Just block wake...and brady will be golden...can't wait to see ellis and haynesworth as well

I couldn't agree with you more. Even if they get to the Brady, he's got to stay focused and passionate. That's what makes the Jets so tough.

Pregame thoughts:
Um, well I'm excited as hell that we are playing football, I watched NFL Redzone all day yesterday, never seen it before, my head was spinning!
Anyway, I hope for a well executed game plan (cliche) I want to see some fire in Brady's eyes, and I want to crush the Phins. In reality I expect a tight game and some 1st game mistakes by the Pats. But Pats should win this one. Early one too. 7:00pm, oh yea baby!

I expect a lot of nickle and a lot of blitzing with Bush and LJ as the backs.

Make Henne 1-dimensional, take away the dump off to Bush, and you're in good shape. I want Bush hit on every play, like you were chipping a TE.

Ward getting blowed up inside by Baltimore yesterday was a thing of beauty and something you don't see enough of as far as I'm concerned. If a RB is near you you should plant him, especially a soft one like Bush.

Fins don't have Bustler to exploit this time.

If I were Sparano + a brain, I'd go no-huddle the minute I see Haynesworth on the field, so that he can't sub out. That will gas him beyond recovery and render him useless for the rest of the game.

I want a competitive defense that keeps the Dolphins off balance. I also hope that Big Al can play. I want to see what he's got.

Shhhhh.....

Do you think Henne can handle a no-huddle effectively? Like for more than a 3 and out?

Anyway, I guess that's what defensive time outs are for, right?

So you're saying you aren't worried about Haynesworth getting gassed.
