Oh well I guess it wouldn't be a season opener without some kind of drama. Godspeed Nate.

Getting a little nervous from Canada here. Too many bad season opening memories.

Vollmer was chucked straight into a game against Vanden Bosch.

He also struggled massively on MNF vs Wake last year.

I trust in Dante and Bill that Nate is ready.

This could significantly impact the passing game. If Solder has to go at RT, that could cause the Patriots to do a lot of helping out on that side with a TE, which means Gronk could be spending most of the game pass blocking rather than pass catching.

or he could slip the block on Wake, grab the quick pass and rumble down the field all night...or they could run BJGE inside and Ridley right at Wake with Solder and Gronk beating on him and wear him down....it works both ways

The team will adjust.

There will always be issues, injuries, and obstacles to overcome, but that's just part of the team building philosophy.

I am certainly concerned, but I expect the game planning will be adjusted to deal with these issues. Deus is right, we may not see as much Gronk catching the ball, but I expect a shot at establishing the run, screens, quick outs/3 step drops.

Let's do this :rocker:

It begs the question:

Is Seabass made of glass?

man, I do hope so to see this a lot this year. This has been our achilles heel for the past few years, when D pressures brady, we never had an answer and keep doing the same thing and getting killed.

Damn, I'm a nervous wreck as the season opener nears :bricks:

Wait...Wait...Wait.

Solder isnt playing RT in NE. People on this board told me so.

Most of us (yes, I was in that crowd), were going off what BB himself had said.

Not wrapping up Maneri for depth could hurt in the long run

One more injury to the OL and we are in trouble

Kyle Bosch didn't play that game. It was Avery.

Vollmer is proably day to day.......Why worry about something you have no control over...

That's why they pay BB the big bucks :p

He is a top 20 pick, he better be ready.

SINCE YOU BROUGHT (caps) up "the long run"... Are you not forgetting about a certain Gun Fixture that is occupying that role? We have a CANNON at the ready if we need it come by week 6 or 7 (this could be out of a DEPTH concern or an injury issue. Relax about Mineri and I liked him to, but this year we had no space for him.

Solder did a solid job at RT in the first half of the Detroit preseason game.
