Jan. 2011: Boston and National Media average predicted score of Jets/Pats playoff game-New England to win 31-10.
Sept. 2011: Everyone laughing, including the Miami press, at the sad sack Miami Dolphins.

Conclusion: All the pieces in place for the classic reverse lock.

Yeah...all the pieces...wait, what?

Yes, that's it! Because the Patriots were once favored and expected to win by most but did not, then that obviously means they will always lose every time they are favored!

Worked on this thread idea for a while, right?

The best reverse lock in the area is to determine who Felger is favoring and bet against....

Last 4 Pats games in Miami:
49-28 W
48-28 W
21-22 L
41-14 W
I'll take our chances...

This seems perilously close to a Karma thread. I think we're going to need a ruling on this from Patsnutme.....

I hope this is a joke and that you didn't bet your life savings on the Dolphins to win straight up on your "lock."

The thing Miami has going for them is the MNF home underdog when given 4 or more points has an incredible winning percentage

That all points to the Dolphins covering the spread in all likelihood.....winning?,now that's another thing to have to do,I don't know if they can outscore NE without turnovers

This post sounded better in your head than it did in reality.

What does the score start at? How many points are the Dolphins given for being a home underdog of more than 4 points on MNF becuase a lot of those teams covered? Are we down 10-0?

They dont 'have that going for them'. Vegas tends to give too many points to a home underdog on MNF. That has no impact on the outcome of the game.

I sort of think the opposite; the Patriots are full of potential that they did not exercise in the pre-season which they will unleash on the 'Fins. They should destroy the Dolfiends.

What happened to those commercials?
Guinness replaced them, at least in print, with their "body works" campaign, which, while not as "brilliant", does have its qualities. :D

(I'm only adding to highjacking this thread because it's a silly thread to begin with. Forgiven?)
