I am only 1/2 kidding...

I thought we signed Sean Landeta?

How old is Sean Landeta?

He's gotta bein his 40's...I remember him punting for the Giants' Super Bowl team, fahchrissakes!

What, they couldn't get a ahold of Lee Johnson or Rich Camarillo?

Landeta is 44, but the Patriots have yet to sign him.

I think BB should just go for the record of oldest roster ever. Heck, we already have Vinny, we had Seau and Ted Johnson wants to return. Maybe Flutie can come back as a holder. What kind of shape is Jerry Rice in?

Landetta is actually Vinnie's father...

Accordng to Troy himself. He can pass for 60 yds but only punt for 30. So he's closer to Walter than Landetta. Sorry I can't find the original: I saw it a couple of weeks ago). Is George Blanda or Lou the Toe Groza available?

How about Ghost? Can he punt?

Isn't Troy the team's "emergency" punter anyways?
He was the emergency QB before we signed Vinnie, even took a few snaps in preseason (though they were all handoffs).

I think Blanda's dead, but that shouldn't stop BB.

BB: (Standing on Blanda's grave, talking to his tombstone) "George, we need you. We need your toe, your arm, and your leadership."

Blanda: (From the Great Beyond) "Hi Bill. So, what's in it for me?"

BB: "The veteran minimum and a chance to compete for a ring."

Blanda: "Let me check with the boss."

Blanda: (To God) "What do you think? Will you let me go back for one last shot at immortality?"

God: "Are you kidding, George? The Patriots need you!"

Blanda: (To BB) "The boss says OK. What next?"

BB: "Film study starts at 4:30 a.m. sharp. Be there. Oh, and by the way, Do you know where I can find Red Grange?"

I'll trust Bill Belichick over the NFL Network any day.

"I know everybody has the announcement on the personnel and roster. We have a couple of open roster spots, so we'll evaluate that and make some decision that we feel like is in the best interest of the team going forward. Obviously, one of those players will be a punter. Again, we'll look at our options and make a decision on that when we feel like the time is right. I really don't have much other comment on that."

Tune -
I have to say this is one of your better posts. Great laugh :D

I could swear that I heard Troy say on his radio show (ESPNBOSTON 890) that he can indeed kick.
